Bartel was out of contract last year. This is hardly a must read. Bartel won't go anywhere.

Why on earth would Bartel want to resign? He's just had his best season to date, polled Geelong's most votes for the Brownlow and has cemented his place in the side. He is built a reputation as one of Geelong's most courageous players, why on earth would Geelong want to get rid of him, let alone Jimmy RESIGNING! Gave me a heart attack seeing the topic title.
