Hasn’t Cyril’s retired yet? Lol .. not long then before retirement and back playing part time .. oh wait he already is part time.
Nah mate, back after the bye only 28 plenty of good footy left.

GAJ proving Xtreme wrong by not retiring by round 6, it looks like he has given up getting his hands dirty and defensive efforts though.

Don't get all precious campaigner after sinking the boots into Cyril and his sick father.

Fact is he couldn't be arsed with the travel, had bled GC dry, Costa and co were willing to stroke his ego, Teach was approaching the vinegar stroke and Gary Senior was again in more shit than a Werribee duck.

In all honesty, why did Ablett ask to come back?

Sure, his Mrs was homesick etc etc. shit happens. He should’ve had some little baby Jesus Ablett’s then, that would’ve kept her happy perhaps?

Seriously though, many here in the bay questioned his body, and now many Geelong fans are doing the same.

For Geelong fans it seemed that a halo stayed around Ablett, the favourite son etc etc, but will him
coming back and essentially playing a selfish, chip scabbing role, now embitter him to Geelong fans?

Did he do it for egotistical reasons?

It’s becoming a real headscratcher.
No.

It was all about the money. Was never interested in returning home until he got to the last year of a very heavily front-loaded contract and knew he could get more back at Geelong.

He left the Cats for money and returned for it too. Nothing has changed.

Probably because he wanted to return to Geelong.

Yeah I'm sure all she needed was some children and then everything would be fine.

In the end who cares, Geelong the club wanted him there. Nobody will remember his final year if it turns out crap. Does anyone mark down Buckley because his final year was spent doing hamstring after hamstring?
Same with Hird. Does anyone mark him down because of his tarnishing forever the reputation of his club while coach?

Mentally he retired at the end of 2010. He's been doing a very long self indulgent retirement lap since.

I laugh over the egg on the Catters faces, he's a hinderance rather than a help for the side.

But we all know Chris Scott likes to handicap his team by overloading the 22 picked each week with certified spuds that are suburban grade at best.... Vickick standard at worst.

Same with Hird. Does anyone mark him down because of his tarnishing forever the reputation of his club while coach?
Yes because he was on PEDs during his playing career.

Ablett doesn't have a legacy. He racked up cheap possessions while playing with kids. Big ******* deal
Exactly

The Brownlow medal is a meaningless individual award these days. Gotta be like Dusty Martin and win every individual award (including the Norm Smith medal on grand final day to be an elite legend).

I don’t see Ablett being able to do that ever!

So Dusty is the only elite legend ever?

Abetts are a Blight not a legacy.
Did that little Essondon bloke that Nic Natted Ablett get suspended or was Ablett staging.
