Whats that pies 2 loses eh..that loss to the swans is looking ever so crucial miss the finals by 1 game..i am hoping!

Macca going to be a good game next week Lions v Port at the Gabba......2nd v 3rd on percentage.......

And the Lions have beat Essendon.......something you guys haven't done yet - but will have another crack at in 2 weeks. To some that mightn't mean much - but to us - it was a defining moment in this season.

Just dont' write the Lions off yet either........

That's exactly right. The Lions seem to be the more dominate against the top sides. Next week should be a great game, the winner imo will have the right to challange the bombers.

ATM the lions are playing like they did back in late 99.

funny thing is schwatta - even in 99 - it was the sides above us we couldn't beat. We beat essendon when they were first - we beat hawthorn when they were second....

but Port has been a bogey for us so far this year - let's just wait and see.......

im not writing anyone off this early on yet. There is still a number of teams that are strong chances at the flag. Of course Essendon is the best chance, but Port, Brisbane, Carlton and maybe Hawthorn, or even North Melbourne (no im not drunk) can get up to win the flag.

Yes youve beaten Essendon, mind you they were undermanned (im not undermining the win) you also played them at the Gabba. We played them in round 2 with basiaclly a full side at colonial stadium. We get our big chance in two weeks to beat them and we are a very strong chance.

Next weekend will be a ripper game. I hope we can get up...we tend to play pretty well at the Gabba (1 win each and 2 draws) so who knows. Would be fantastic if we could win it.

That's right Macca - dont' undermine that win - so what they were undermanned - the week before they were carrying on how they won 'undermanned' against the hawks.... whilst the Lions had no Leppa, Power, 50% fit Voss etc etc....and as for the Gabba.......when it comes to teams like the Bombers, Collingwood and Richmond - it aint that much of an advantage - the crowd is often around 50-50........and last year in the streaming wet - Essendon made it look like dry weather football at the Gabba.....so I am very glad you aren't undermining that win........
