If you're a 70% chance of losing week one and about the same the next week it's 50/50.

If Eagles win and Port lose week 1, our biggest worry is who is kicking the winner after the siren

*clearly joking here. We'll win easy
It would be well against the grain of the last 20 years.

The #1 ranked team has a 70% chance of making the Grand Final.
The #2 ranked team has a 60% chance of making it.
The #3 ranked team has a 50% chance of making it.
The #4 ranked team has a 10% chance of making it.
The #5-8 ranked team have a 10% chance of making it.

You're forgetting the variable that is Port.

Yeah - given our history (33% from #1, 100% from #2) and the natural "reverting to the norm", we should be higher than 70%. :)

Given your history of being obliterated by Geelong 4 weeks ago and constantly losing to West Coast after the siren at Adelaide Oval you should be 0% chance.

And how'd Port really do?

2. Brisbane - Massive Loss
3. Richmond - Narrow win on a 5 day break without travel vs. Richmond on a 4 day break from a night game in Brisbane
4. Geelong - Massive loss
5. West Coast - Beaten early in the season when they were in horrific form
6. St. Kilda - Lost to at home
7. Western Bulldogs - Won when they were in bad form barely beating the Suns and being thrashed by Richmond and Brisbane either side of it.
8. Collingwood - Almost lost to a side so terrible they shouldn't be in the 8.

9 . Melbourne - Won when they were in wooden spoon form
10. GWS - Won
11. Carlton - Were behind when the final siren sounded

4 of their wins either after the siren or from playing teams when they were in the worst form of the entire season. Already that drops them down to 6th.

Wow great assessment....amazed we made the 8 to be honest we were that ordinary.... *checking ladder*... yeah, nah, 10 out of 10 though for the assessment that every team except for Port Adelaide were "out of form' at some stage during the year.

You know that every team lost to other teams this year don't you? Even the top 4. And their wins against us don't count because we're not that good apparently.

Only because you played every single side at literally the best possible time. Without exception. Every side you beat was in their worst form of the season when you played them.

Given that is the case (and I guess the same every year since Adam was a boy) do you mind contacting Gill and rectifying that problem for everyone then, because the last time I checked, there isn't much anyone can do about it is there?

Maybe we need to juice up some more.

I guess what we should have done was beat the teams 14th to 18th, maybe fluked one against 8th, and finished 13th with 6 wins.

Revisionist BS, we can only play who was put in front of us. A lot of the time it seems teams were in 'poor form' purely BECAUSE we beat them.

Not saying we are definitely going to win Geelong OR West Coast but '100% going to lose' reeks of salt from a supporter whose team would have to play thier grand final every week to be considered middle of the road.

Great move putting Mackenzie on Hawkins, he won Port the game by getting into Hawkins head while standing on the mark 6 times.

Pushed him wide every time as well so Hawkins was constantly kicking from an angle.

We did pretty well thanks. A lot better than your bunch. Let’s be honest your club is in disarray and quite honestly looks rooted:

I was at the QF last night and have just watched the replay on Foxtel. I'll tell you what has been found out. The players are 100% with the coach, they were lining up to embrace Kenny. He has united this squad. Towards the end of the game the tv cameras showed Ken on the big screen and he got a great ovation from the fans.
Also, as an aside, whoever comes to Adelaide for the Prelim, if we are allowed a crowd, they will be entering a cauldron.
