Has the AFL world overrated Taylor Walker?

So would you ****stick, there's a reason why forwards big and small struggle in GFs, it's because of the massive heat in the centre, your Jack got lucky, there could've easilly been 3000 threads about him choking if the midfield cards fell different.
The club wouldn't take Walker, big immobile players like him are a thing of the past (just like Trav Cloke) Brown on the other hand would be snapped up in a heartbeat.

And seriously, whats with the *stick? Ease it up bogan

Dude, the club you follow won a flag, you didn't, if Tex Walker was put on the trade table your club would move heaven and earth to land him, as would every other club.

Was Jacks game that much better than Tex's? IMO you would've won by more if you swapped Jack for Tex, i'd swap 2 Jacksnfor Tex lol.

No comparison, Jack's was huge, Walkers had a shocker.

Bullshit. Lucky your club list managers don't listen to you! I'll say it again:

Played much of the back end of the season injured. HAD THE MOST GOAL ASSISTS IN THE AFL, WHILST STILL KICKING OVER 50 HIMSELF, WHILE INJURED!

He'd be the first forward picked in your side! And yes, well ahead of Riewoldt! He's actually very mobile, and has great footy smarts and evasive ability when in possession.

It's nice to see you sticking up for your club. Enjoy Tex, and we will enjoy premiership player Jack.

They both kicked 2 goals, Riewoldt had better impact but the ball was near him a hell of a lot more than it was up in our forward line. The only difference between them was in supply from the midfield.

Stop looking at dumb basic stats. AFL rankings had Jack ranked 5th and he even got coaches votes. The difference between the two was chalk and cheese

Walker averages 8 score involvements per game. He's kicked 50+ goals in a forward line chock-filled with goal kickers. He runs at 66% disposal efficiency (which is higher than Franklins, Riewoldts, Hawkins etc.). He might not be your Buddy or Josh Kennedy... but their forward lines aren't blessed with choice like ours is. He was clearly struggling with injury throughout this year so perhaps wasn't as dominant as he could be. He's definitely not over-rated.

Riewoldt is overrated as well.

Been saying Walker is overrated for about the last 4-5 years. Dead set useless in big games, now everyone can finally see it.

I remember he and Tippett both kicked 4 in a preliminary final in 2012 against us, one goal loss, both been garbage or anonymous in big games since. Very odd.
Tbf dominant performances by key forwards are harder in finals, Buddy and Kennedy flamed out this year as well. Hell Riewoldt was missing left right and center until the Tigers were well on top, the kind of game that gets some praise if they win and slammed if they lose.

Lions, Port, Freo, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, Essendon.

They are sides Walker has scored most of his goals against.

Is this meant to be a bad stay? Port have been good for large parts of his career, hawthorn dominant, Essendon also good at times. Even freo have been poor for two years but very good most of Tex's career.

Furthermore, you'd actually expect him to have more goals against poor teams than better anyway. The lions and suns should be there. They are worse teams and as such Tex should score more heavily.

They don't all struggle in GFs.
1986 - 6 goals
1988 - 7 goals
1989 - 4 goals
1991 - 6 goals

Mr Dunstall was really quite useful.

And has an uncanny ability to go missing when things aren't going well for his side, doesn't do anything to inspire them
