No I always hated the coverage even when my team were winning.
The year Dustin won was just as bad with Bruce McAvaney hovering over him and getting in his personal space.

people tend to pinpoint this moment as a shark jumping, way back in 2008. people still have fond memories of this debacle.

it was a speech given to celebrate robert harvey. and it went on, and on, and on.

what the video doesn't show (mercifully) is kate ceberano cooing 'the saints go marching in' over saxophone which just sealed the deal.

I mean, was this year any worse than previous years? It has been full of fluff since 7 has had it. But there was always some padding when 9/10 had it. I can't remember a night when it finished before 11 pm.

I had it on in the background. That, I can watch the votes and miss all the other fluff.

Personally think the count itself has jumped the shark. Umpires are voting based on reputation. 45 votes is a stupid amount. But that is for another thread.
