Yeah, hard to understand how someone can appreciate a player who is more reliable at doing something that is the most important skill in the game - converting for goal - than anyone else in the competition.kicks a set shot via a routine
Fadge: “BOY OH BOY WOWEE HOW DID HE DID HE DO THAT!?!?”
Fadge was Jacob Townsend a player you sat back and thought wow what an amazing kick this bloke is?Yeah, hard to understand how someone can appreciate a player who is more reliable at doing something that is the most important skill in the game - converting for goal - than anyone else in the competition.

Players who are 'exceptional' kicks make you go 'frig me, how did he do that' when they kick a football.

Or was he just an ordinary player with a great set shot routine?
2023 was Carlton's year.
But choked.
Now we cooked.
Full teardown rebuild.
See you in 2033.
At the end of the day contenders finish top 4. Sure, we'll always have the Bulldogs as outliers but every other premier in the AFL has had at least that season or a close-by one finishing top 4. Brisbane had a big run of prelims and a close GF loss leading into 2024.2023 was a false dawn due to an easy run in the finals, up until the lions of course

Carlton did look set to break through in that regard in 2024 but then completely collapsed, which has followed into the next season. It's going to be very hard to finish top 4 from here. Time is running out.
Voss might be at Goodwin's level, but he only won a premiership with 3 players in the middle all having an unbelievable seasons at the same time (Viney excellent as well), with a great defence behind them.
Read the post again. Brisbane had been finishing top 4 and 2 for years leading into it (15+ win seasons), including almost winning a GF the season before. Very different to just coming in and winning a GF from 5th-8th without that experience and consistency (so more like Bulldogs 2016).We did finish 5th last year
Carlton with a sense of belief is still a dangerous sideAccording to Sportsbet, still the same odds of making the GF as St Kilda at $21. There must be still a little bit money coming in for the Blues.
West Coast better watch out.Carlton with a sense of belief is still a dangerous side
Hey mate. Is the secret weapon Jordan Boyd playing VFL again?? Can the league coaches rest easy again this week knowing his still locked upImportant attribute but have I ever gone 'frig me how'd he do that?" Watching Larkey?
No.
Saving him for finals in 2092Hey mate. Is the secret weapon Jordan Boyd playing VFL again?? Can the league coaches rest easy again this week knowing his still locked up
Look at the following five teams they have after those two:I've been Carlton's biggest critic for a while now but I reckon they thump the living sh*t out of West Coast and will gain momentum from there.
1-4 with North Melbourne to follow, they are team that gets hot in the blink of an eye.
Finals certainly not out of equation just yet.
BumpDisagree. Carlton have offloaded some fringe players and will try and regenerate with some young players whilst keeping nucleus of the playing group together. If they can get a good run at it on the injury front, I think they will be a good shot at top 4.
