Hows it rumor. Barra might be a prick but hes right an amazing amount of times. He picked up Kerrs finger injury 2 days before anyone else even had a blink about it. Hes got alot of close ties with the Fremantle medical staff. Infact he was the person who broke the news about J-Los pending retirement a few months before anyone got a sniff of it.

I hope its not true as IMO Haselby was a good shot at the Brownlow given his pre season but you havr to face facts. Early signs are looking bad. What substantiated facts can a man give. Unless i scan the x-rays and post them on the site is it gonna be anything other then what we have atm.

Of course it is rumour !! Its 6pr, do you think anyone at Freo is going to give them the heads up ?? I sincerely doubt it. I agree though that the longer it goes the worse it probably is !!

I do. Ive seen Barra eating lunch a few times with Freos medical staff after training is done. If they were going to give anyone heads up it would be him.

I may be grasping at thin air but,

Surely the medical staff would have known immediately if it was an ACL ?
I remember when Clive did his knee. Got a bit of a knock, went home and iced it, got the scan, acl...

Lenny Hayes did his knee and finished training on it. Sometimes its not so obvious (although when mine went it bloody killed!).

People dont realise that there are many different ways in which a man can do his knee. Its not all pain and screaming like a Nick Malceski who did his yesterday.

most people knew jlo was going to retire long before it was announced.

true like i said earlier in this thread, with my knee it hurt initially but after about a minute i couldn't really feel pain at all unless i put weight on it, it turned out to be 3 ligaments (including ACL), torn maniscus cartilage (in half) + to top it off a nice big crack in the bone that didn't turn up in the xrays but in the scan 6 weeks later, when i went to the hospital this stupid doctor tried to tell me i just twisted it a little + sent me home with a couple panadol.

Latest news report said that Haselby has been confirmed by someone from the club as out for a minimum of 3-4 months with the club still unsure if he requires a full knee reco.

Where did you hear this?

Tragically Clint Wheeldon (I think) has just confirmed on ABC that it's a full recon.

Thats what Channel 10 said however it seems the club have now made it offical he is out for the year on ABC. Who knows whats going on atm.... ATM I think hes gone for the year as said on ABC radio. The rest is just Pricktorians talking crap.

But I've been on Channel 10 since Ready, Steady, Cook was on and watched every news flash and nothing has been said about Hase

EDIT: One was just on then.
1. Masten pleaded guilty
2. Cyclone hitting Exmouth
3. Something to do with John Howard
4. Battling the bulge

Unless the 4th story is about Hase, there has been nothing.

Channel Ten Melbourne were quoted as the source of the information which is why I said I think its just Pricktorians making up shit. Someone posted it on the main board too

the whole sucks really.....
Perhaps if we didn;t have limited interchange, we may have been able to prevent either haze or malceski's knees. Maybe I'm clutching at straws, but considor everyone is sort of running themselfs into gameday form. If the normal rotatrion policies for any team had been in place maybe one or both of these season ending injurys may have been avoided.
Anyways - Hase is a big loss for us. The pre season demons strike again.
If we are going to have any measure of success, someone is going to have to step up in the mid field.

Ah k, well I'd hate to say it but you'd think it would be released over here first, being a WA player and all. Then again, the whole Judd thing was released over there...so who knows?

Just pure bad luck. Someone fell on his knee. Its not because hes injury prone its because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time really. Anyone who takes that fall will **** their knee up badly. IMO its probably gonna give blokes like Shaun McManus and Matthew Carr a second chance.

God no. Give one of the younger blokes a chance.

Btw, how long have you been watching The Bold and the Beautiful, Embers? :p

These guys will be lucky to play 10 games each as per Cooky last year. It's time for Shammer to stand up and our new draftees now have a huge opportunity.

I turned it off after Judge Judy. Something about that woman that glues me to the screen. Ideally you would give the youngsters a go but I cant see Mark thinking in that same vain. He wants a flag and he wants to do it now.

As much as macca is a cult favourite amongst the purple horde and matty carr is well liked, it's obvious neither match the skills to Hase when he's flying.
I think we'll have to look to the younger lads. But yah, I see the point your trying to make. Either someone gets resurrected or either a hero steps up to the plate.
It's time maybe we got some return from Schammertime.

Schammer would already be in your best 22 id say so itd be more or less moving him of the bench and onto the field. Harvey will go with experience early on and if someone like Foster has great WAFL form underneath his belt he will probably get a shot.

Hase will be missed - looked like a good year for him. :(

"Fremantle has confirmed on Monday afternoon that midfielder Paul Hasleby will miss the entire 2008 season after scans revealed the 2003 All-Australian ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against West Coast in Sunday night’s NAB Cup clash"

Hopefully will make him even more determined for '09

Very unlucky for Haze...but at least this may give Rhys Palmer an opportunity to fast-track his development.
