how much money you got bobby? :D

better holding off on getting a keeper for a few weeks, the market is severly inflated at the moment by the looks of it. iknow someone who got 9.6m for a titanic keeper. ridiculous. I paid 5.5m for mine 2 seasons ago and i overpaid.

Hold off if you can for a little bit.

I wish I had've checked back to this thread, ended up getting smashed in the melbourne heat at home sunday evening & overpaid massively on an outstanding keeper aged 31 & 70ish days (2.4m)

oh well, if i win the next 2 games i can always offload him for a loss & get a new bloke.

Whoa, yeah he is a bit old mate!

Meanwhile, i listed a supernat striker with passable passing and have a 7.2m bid on him. :D

I'm tempted to sell another trainee and really cash in on the market at the moment.

EDIT: He went for 7.9m :D

Excellent stuff. I was quite please to see that i will get over a million for my 29yo outstanding PM who is now a backup.

Also have a 16yo in my youth academy that will hopefully promote as a solid wing solid scoring player at 17 and 0 days. Thinking he will help swell the coffers plenty.

FINALLY got my first div IV win today at home playing normal, 6-1 without my 2nd best IM.

is the bloke i am going to be battling with for the 6th position unless i can pull some other wins out.

If u want to stay in the div, how about PIC the games you know you have no chance in and MOTS the games against weaker opponents?

Well i won 3-0 today. 3 points clear at the top (should be 5 ) But i'll take it.

Downside is a 3 weeker to my keeper in the cup last wedensday and a red card to my best mid today. Still confident i can win in the cup this coming week. My opponent is defense heavy. No midfield and a weak attack. I think i can squeeze a result.

Already do that mate, it is just that my team is at best a mid table div V side so we struggle a bit. Cheers for the advice though.

Managed to get a 2-2 draw at home without that new keeper coming from 2-0 down against a bloody good team. Had most of the chances so bit pissed off that the keeper was injured, could've been a win.

Moves me to 7 points & 6th position, GD (7) is keeping me off 7th place. still a chance to stay up.

I won 12-0, my league only has one team that is of any competition and hes first due to me playing my second team when i was still in the cup. I should be him next time and therefore get promoted as i should have a better GD than him with my new strikers coming in.

Looks like i will definitely promote into VI this season. Undefeated and 7 points clear on top at the half way point. I have also upgraded to a magnificent keeper this season (up 3 levels from formid) at the hefty price of 6.3 million. I now am saving to either do the same thing with one of my strikers or wingers.

I"m through to Div IV but cant see my team staying there, my last two games are against the bottom teams that i beat 10-0 and 8-0 last time so i cant see us losing.

Just bought a new keeper who is outstanding, was the best i could find, so im hoping to get a bit of money for my old keeper who is formid and my youth promotion a inad keeper who is 17/18.

ensured a qualifier to stay in div IV

edit - massive away win on PIC against the #2 team, should see me finish 5th now :)

Won my league last week, just PIC games for a qualifier now into III

I am undefeated for the year and guaranteed a spot in IV. Will go up with 4 mill or thereabouts in the bank and will decide where to spend it once i see what my league is like.

I think i should be ok to stay up having upgraded to a magnificent keeper and purchased a formidable defender and having one of my mids pop to titanic with a second one only a few weeks away from doing the same.

I've got an away game against the bottom team which may get me into the top four if I win and other results go my way, otherwise it's a qualifier. Had a frustrating 0-0 home draw against the 5th placed team last match despite dominating the midfield and having 5 recorded chances to 0 in the match report. A win would have put me into the top 4 and with a strong chance of staying up.

Now I'm not sure what to do. The match analyser on HO seems to think it's an even money bet. I could MOTS but that would leave my TS down the gurgler if I did have to play a qualifier or I could PIC but that would probably condemn me to a loss and I could find myself against a very good Division V team in the qualifier. Might have to take my chances playing normal. The team I'm playing only has 2 points for the season but he's not a bad team by any means. It's the 8th strongest Division IV league and he's been unlucky. If he decides to MOTS as you should do in the last game if there's no possibility of a qualifier I'm in trouble.

I'll finish 6th in division V.

The playoff to stay up will be tough as a few of my better players have copped injuries over the last few weeks.

Nah, you'd be very unlucky to draw a decent team.

In fact you'll most likely be drawn to play a bot given there are 1024 Division VI's and there's probably only 100-150 that are full of human teams.

It would be really, really unlucky like you say.

And just about 90%+ of those 100-150 human teams in VI would auto-promote cause of bots being walkovers week in, week out!

managed to knock off the top team @ home playing PIC without my best IM (2 yellows so rested before the qualifier) & star winger / set piece taker (injured)

got a relatively easy qualification opponent, who if i dont beat i dont deserve to stay in div IV put simply

got $5.5m plus the home revenue from the qualifier to spend on player upgrades for next season, on the form of the last 2 weeks i might be a chance to move up to top 3

I've got a qual game against a bot so i should go up into Div IV fairly easily.

Won 3-2 today and got $20,000 for having the top scorer for the league so that and the money coming in for winning the league, which is handy as ill need buy a new player or 2 to stay up next season.
