What sort of ratings are you putting up Sainter. I am looking like i will be in the box seat to promote to IV next year. I am in a mid ranked V and i am sweating on how high a level i need to get my mids to before i start to train other stuff.

I currently win the midfield in my div (V118) against all the other teams and am working on the rest of my squad (brilliant keeper comig in the next coupe of weeks).

I am trotting out a Supernatural (23yo), World Class(20yo) and a brilliant with exc passing (24yo). they have plenty of training left in them due to there ages but i am still wondering what will be high enough to be competitive in Div IV when i eventually get there.

The rest of my team is okish. Just upgrading the goalie and have 2 formid strikers with passable passing and just added and outstanding Def that i am training in PM (now solid) to make him into a nice multi skiller.

Sorry mate, forgot to check back in to this board.

Ended up winning my qualifier 4-0 today so I'm headed into the world of Division IV which I'm looking forward too. The league I'm joining looks like it will be a lot harder than it was this season because the three other new teams look really competitive and the remaining teams are very strong. Should be a challenge anyway and that's what I want from the game.

My highest rating is 220 and I'm generally around that mark for my home games. I play with a 4-5-1 formation with 3 inner mids and my midfield is usually around the passable (high) mark. Obviously it's a bit lower for away games and when they're in poor form. At the moment I have 1 titanic (excellent experience) and 2 supernatural (outstanding and inadequate experience) midfielders. To be competitive in IV I'll need to upgrade my keeper, one of my wingers and probably one of the midfielders.

I've trained defence from day one and really enjoy it. Initially I would play a 5-4-1 and a 5-3-2 formation to maximise training but a couple of seasons ago I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't be competitive in the higher divisions unless I played 3 inner mids. It means I lose 1 training slot each week but I'm still training 9 players which is pretty good.

It looks like you're well and truly on the right track. I think anybody who puts enough thought into the game will reap the rewards. I just had a quick look at your league and barring a miracle you should earn automatic promotion easily. The team from Div IV is a bot and you have a massive midfield advantage over GUPTAS and Enfield Vanguard.

Yeah mate pretty confident i should go up. I have 2.5 million in the bank and am going to sell my keeper and upgrade to a brilliant then basically just saave my coin for most of the season until i see what i need for next year.

Probably looking at updrading my strikers at some point and also toying with throwing some big coin at a multiskill winger but all that is up in the air until i see how the season pans out.
 
The team that relegated from div III into my Iv league is a BOT - improves the chances of getting a qualifier to stay up at the end of the season.

Am going to sell a brilliant PM with passable passing hopefully to get a new winger & forward.

same with me. team demoting into my div IV is a bot as well. I *should* win my league comfortably.

Seems to be a much better system, especially for those of us with fans who have very low expectations. :D

It means that we won't be punished by having low crowds in tougher divisions while the teams who intentionally stay down (campers) reap the rewards of playing in front of full houses because their fans are so happy. It remains to be seen whether the system works but it's definitely one new hattrick initiative that I'm 100% in support of.
 
Yeah I am pretty happy with it. My fans only want a top 4 finish and i should win promotion i think. I have taken a punt and added 10,000 seats because i think my fans should be up and about from week 1 which will be good.

I like it. My fans are expecting me to draw in the first round of the cup against a bot so looks like my fans have pretty low expectations.

Same here.

If I knew my fans were going to have such low expectations I wouldn't have lashed out on the new winger that I just bought and expanded the stadium.

at least they are realistic. ended up buying a new striker, could've waited until i sold a PM & got a supernatural / titanic but settled on a brilliant. now i want to get a brilliant+ winger as well.

Hehe, and i finished 2nd last season and the best team in the div who went up to III was replaced with a bot!

absolutely awesome start to div IV, 5-1 away loss playing NORMAL & losing my new 2.9m striker for 4 weeks

aiming for 6th spot, going to take some good coaching & smart purchases.

I got off to a slightly better start with a 4-0 win. My best player missed the game but he's at +1 so will be right for next week. I imagine that team will be one of the few that I'll be fighting with to stay in this league so I'm happy with the win.

Had one of my wingers sent off but that's no problem because he'll only miss my cup game against a bot. So far so good.
 
I won 10-0 playing my 2nd string team. I dont think there is any chance of me not winning the title as the league has got 3 new teams one of which is the one that came down from IV so the only competition is what i had last year and i beat every one of those.

he had 6 chances to 3 for me.

where is the justice in that result? surely if the midfield broke even with my attack compared to his defense then surely i would have created more chances than him.

also, none of his 3 attacks were better than any of my defense yet he gets 6 chances.

beyond belief this game sometimes.

TS is max atm but will go down for next weeks game

need to get max points from next 2 games to give myself a shot at staying up, going to play normal at home against this

i got a passable (v high) midfield rating today away on PIC with my 2nd best IM going off 20 mins into the game, plan on getting a new keeper before next weekends game to improve my shitty def ratings

am looking at going back to div V (which is where my team belongs) next season, but am gonna fight my ass off to stay up.

better holding off on getting a keeper for a few weeks, the market is severly inflated at the moment by the looks of it. iknow someone who got 9.6m for a titanic keeper. ridiculous. I paid 5.5m for mine 2 seasons ago and i overpaid.

Hold off if you can for a little bit.
 
I've started my first season in Division IV with 3 straight wins. I had a 2-1 win on the weekend which I was delighted about.

Let's just say I wasn't exactly pleased with Hattrick after my Cup game on Wednesday. I led 3-0 and was seemingly cruising to a fourth round berth before it all turned to shit and I lost 4-3. It was frustrating because I PIC'd thinking it would be an easy game and that's how it was turning out in the first half. In the end it's turned out OK because that PIC may have been the difference between me winning and losing/drawing yesterday. Despite a good start to the season I'm in a very even league so survival is still my priority.
