Richmond have low key accumulated 5 blue chip KP players, each will be worth at least what they paid for them

I am sorry but that is very very optimistic. The pass rate for high draft pick KP players, especially key forwards is way lower than it is for high draft pick midfielders. If 2 of your "blue chip" KP players turn into solid players that would be a massive success.

Maybe not, but at the same time I think they've started off their rebuild as well as you could for a club, they've gotten rid of experienced players who no longer wanted to be there and attacked the Draft heavily, give those kids a couple of seasons to gel and you'll find they'll start performing sooner rather than later.

Agree. Shouldn’t really be a conversation right now.

In my opinion, once a midfield and spine is matured - a rebuild is over.

As of yet neither Richmond nor West Coast have the requisite young to prime midfield talent to have passed by North in their rebuilds. Most of that is timing and number of years being consistently horrible.

Richmond needs 3-4+ years for this year’s draftees to kick into gear. And the talent from prior years are mainly flankers.

West Coast just needs more A-grade talents.

North needs some more defensive talent. And probably a young/prime 2nd key forward, and another small

Luckily for Richmond/West Coast - you genuinely do only need 3-4 gun mids that work well together to be good. And if both teams hit on their first rounders this year you’re one step closer.

Saw it again last Thursday, they don’t seem to try and reset to the way the oppo play, they just keep trying to do the same thing all game.
Throwing Silvagni fwd was something different but Silvagni has done that all his career.

I think we’ll hear the Tiges song a cpl more times this year but I doubt we finish with a percentage over 100.

My post was in jest, I know currently we are the worst team in the comp. North are ahead of both our teams but so they should be as they've had a 5yr head start. I do like the way we are going about it as we'll add another 2 high quality top 10(possibly top 5) kids this year and another next. This on top of what we have added the last few years. Time will tell if it's going to lead to more success however I'm quietly confident it will.
