With and or without draft picks involved ?

Especially in these times of academy and F/S points bidding, it seems to me we rarely see such player switching direct deals like Shannon Grant for Wayne Schwass anymore.

Feel like The Trade Period is less exciting for it the, although I think The Age is running with a potential Tom McDonald for Adam Saad straights swap which is intriguing.

It’ll happen but not very often. The Shaw for Adams straight swap was one of the more memorable ones as well.

If you're willing to include draft picks in the equation then definitely no, we probably get 1-2 each year. There was Brad Hill and Black Acres last year, Dom Tyson and Braydon Preuss or Chad Wingard and Ryan Burton the next. In terms of no picks involved, I don't think we'll see that often going forward - it's not a trade unless it includes a future fourth!

Yes unless the AFL can negotiate with the AFLPA to allow for clubs to trade contracts like in NBA then getting 2 players to agree to a move is simply too hard.
