I don't think Schofield was all that thrilled with Hawkins post game
If you watched, they actually hugged a moment before that.

I would agree but not for any intentional incidents. If you are found to hit someone intentionally, too badWe need to look at suspensions in Finals. The stakes are too high. A mistake which earns a week in round 13 is not comparable. The games are far more intense also, so mistakes more likely to happen. They should just issue (substantial) fines for all minor indiscretions in finals. Only incidents that would attract 2-3 weeks + or go straight to the tribunal should attract suspension. We want the best players playing.

Not a word of that is accurate.I actually don't care if he gets off or not, we'll still win friday.
That wasn't a suspendable offence though.
LOL good one... Closed fist punch to the jaw with the ball on the opposite side of the field = Careless. Stop lying. Dusty was actually trying to give him a dead arm lol...Hard to see how Geelong argue down any of the gradings. I think in finals they look to give the player benefit of the doubt where possible, but there's not much doubt here.
Intentional - well off the play, everything off the ball gets graded intentional
High contact - not much ambiguity here
Low impact - Schofield was dazed for some period, wasn't exactly 'negligible'
Yes the stakes are too high - too high to do stupid things like ahawkind did, too high for Toby agreene to get off 2 weeks running. If anything the penalty should be higher, because there is more chance it’s deliberate to take a player out of the game.We need to look at suspensions in Finals. The stakes are too high. Wtf does an incident in 2017 under vastly different system have to do with it?LOL good one... Closed fist punch to the jaw with the ball on the opposite side of the field = Careless. Stop lying. Dusty was actually trying to give him a dead arm lol...
Hawkins hugged him, trying to make i5 look like he was sorry, the other guy didn’t look like he was into it!If you watched, they actually hugged a moment before that.
Possibly not the first time Hawk got that response to one of his advances.Hawkins hugged him, trying to make i5 look like he was sorry, the other guy didn’t look like he was into it!
LOL - it has everything to do with it. They let Dusty off because it was going to ruin his brownlow - when it suits the AFL have no issue making decisions that are in their best interest ($$). Hawkins should get the same benefit that Dusty got. Richmond fans shitting on Hawkins should go check Dusty's wrap sheet.Wtf does an incident in 2017 under vastly different system have to do with it?
Man relax. Off the ball incidents this year have all been adjudged intentional, and for the better imo. If you want someone to blame, it’s Hawkins. Stupid act. If he didn’t belt Schofield he’d 100% be playing.LOL - it has everything to do with it. Schofield had his head down low - look at the vision - Hawkins wasn't trying to knock his head off - he was trying to make body contact to stop Schofield from blocking him. You do know dusty was suspended for a similar thing to hawkins just this year, yeah?LOL good one... Closed fist punch to the jaw with the ball on the opposite side of the field = Careless. Stop lying. Dusty was actually trying to give him a dead arm lol...
Elbowing a player off the ball to the face is not the same as swinging arm across what he thought was Schofields body to prevent him being blocked. Try againYou do know dusty was suspended for a similar thing to hawkins just this year, yeah?
And so was Harris andrews
fu** me. People are just sooks.
This is the defence that Geelong will present. Whether they make it sound as flimsy as you do is yet to be seen.Elbowing a player off the ball to the face is not the same as swinging arm across what he thought was Schofields body to prevent him being blocked. Try again
He should get a month for that cheap shot but instead they open up the door for him to appeal and get off. Although, it won’t matter if he plays or not because a Tiggers vs Colliwobbles GF is a formality.Big decisions for the afl
Continue the finals discount
Or
Do they want a tigers pies gf
Because he constantly gets grabbed and blocked and the umpires don't do anything. This is the defence that Geelong will present. Whether they make it sound as flimsy as you do is yet to be seen.
But once again, the only person to blame for this is Hawkins himself. Why does he continually get himself into these sorts of situations? I’m glad they have cut out his gutless jumper punching antics though.
Are you blind - it was the soft part of his forearm - no where near his fist.It is funny how how Geelong supporters think a highly trained athlete like Tom Hawkins, with great reflexes, stamina and co-ordination, can swing an arm at an opponent's body but end up getting the opponent in the head with his fist.
