Hawthorn is the only club whose colours have a close affinity with the colours that dominate traditional indigenous painting. We have a head start. Maybe we should work towards an indigenous design as our default guernsey.

I literally was just thinking the same thing, then read this in the very next post! I reckon it's a great idea to have some indigenous design to see all year long, not just on a tokenistic weekend. Doesn't have to be anything too out there, just something down the side or bottom of the guernsey, so you're still keeping the Brown and Gold stripes. But it normalizes incorporating indigenous designs into everyday things.
