I think I calculated it for a bid at pick 1 and a bid at pick 3. There’s not much left for me either way.

I could be wrong, but I think you will still have one more pick later.

At this Board, the Bulldogs picks are currently - 25, 43, 44, 45, 52, 64 which is 756 + 378 + 362 + 347 + 246 + 101 = 2,190

Pick 2 is valued at 2,517 pts but with 20% discount, you'll need 2,013.6 pts

So after the matched bid you sill still have 176.4 points left (2,517 - 2,013.6) which is around pick 58ish.

Anyway , maybe wait for TDS7 for the official calculation.

I'll do the bid matching math at lunch, but for now just think the dogs have no more picks.

We also have a trade lodged.
Carlton Give: 25, 64 | Get: 23, 93
WB Give: 23, 93 | Get: 25, 64
The trade gained the WB 101 points on paper and likely 170pts after pick matching.. = pick 58

Pick 3
GWS Bid on Nick Daicos

dermott now is your time to shine.

A no brainer SYL. Collingwood matches the bid on Nick Daicos.
Having been shanghaied into the mock draft I was tempted to throw the cat among the pigeons and not match but I don’t hate Collingwood enough to do that. I am also old fashioned enough to love the father son concept and hope the son of the great Peter Daicos emulates his old man and excites the black and white ferals for many years to come.

Back to you Strapping Young Lad.

From Friday I will be nice and free though but for now I'll get everything updated at the end of the day.
You really need to get your priorities in order

Post #2 contradicts the draft order.

Just want to make sure I’ve not missed a trade. Giants should hold 45 and 46, yeah?

Pick 4 - Finn Callaghan
Pick 4: Fremantle selects Finn Callaghan.

Essentially using the pick acquired in the Adam Cerra trade to move up the order and grab a player who looks to be his equal on talent and his superior in athleticism and potential.

Pick 5 - Josh Rachelle
GCS select Josh Rachelle.

I have gone for the kid from the Murray Bushies here for a few reasons. It was genuinely a hard spot to pick for where Gold Coast are at. I considered both the mids (Hobbs and Ward) and decided although Greenwood has left, they still have Alex Davies coming through as a tall first possession mid and they have Rowell in that space also, so the need for Hobbs isn't dire. Callaghan would have been my dream selection here as he can play that blend of inside/outside and is a point of difference to the current mix. But alas, predictably he was off the board. Andrew, I considered also for his potential, but in the end settled on two safer options. So I was essentially choosing between Ward and Rachelle. I think Ward would have complimented their existing mix really well, with his ability to connect with others at the stoppage. A mix of ward, Rowell and anderson is really balanced and dynamic. But I decided against it only because of the documented go-home factor.

So to my selection - Rachelle of the upper echelon appears to have the least go-home factor with legit high character. He has runs on the board with two years of performance and will add to the stock of match winners already on the books. He has more competitiveness and desire than Rankine and ultimately will be a good replacement when Rankine packs his bags next year. I like that he can pinch-hit in the middle and he would offer Goal Coast some class and finishing ability from their midfield. A safe selection, that might not be the most immediate need, but ultimately GCS need talent with high character that won't be searching for the exit in 4 years. This kid has a great head on his shoulders, brings competitiveness, excitement and skill to a youthful mix at the GCS...

suburb whispers you're up

Pick 25 is on the table.

Liam Jones’ retirement has opened a second spot on Carlton’s main list which could be filled using the SSP or the National Draft. If I am to use the ND I’ll need a second pick.

Pick 25 is now on the table for a couple of picks in the 30s. The brilliance of this pick is that it is in-between the two Hawks Picks and so if you want to pinch a player before the Hawks 3rd selection, pick 25 will be needed.

Richmond - Judd2Sewell
West Coast - Davo-27
Geelong - Bardo State
Sydney - Orourke A Hawk

You know you want it. That player that was just out of reach is now with your grasp. I’ll accept the first to offer a couple of picks in the 30s.
