Hawks fans explain why

I cannot work out what Paul Samon has done at Hawthorn that many others have not.

A couple of B&F's and being a consistant player in a poor team. He was only there 4 years. A few players names that I would rather see in a team of a century at the Hawks.

I ask you this when you think of the name Paul Salmon do you think of Essendon or Hawthorn.

Add to that list...John Kennedy Jr, Andy Collins, Shane Crawford, Michael Moncrieff, even Rodney Eade

Andy Collins and Shane Crawford missed out too. Who has been better over the last 4 years? Crawford or Salmon? You'd have to say Crawford (even taking into account his poor 2000) Salmon will always be known as an Essendon player.

As for Crawford, maybe they can't include current players?

Even Darrren Jarman could have been considered. He was there for 5 years, and was sensational every year. People forget how good Jarman was with the Hawks.

Salmon is the best pure ruckman that Hawthorn has ever had. Don Scott was rightfully selected in the ruck, but Fish beats out the rest of the opposition, especially with our next best ruckman - John Kennedy Snr - in the coach's box.

3 times as many great games for Hawthorn than Salmon.

I'm pretty sure he was in for team balance-Scotty was only 6'3" and as DCFC said as a ruckman he was the best Hawthorn has had.(sad really).

You're not serious are you- which full forward should be dropped for Gladys Moncrieff-Hudson or Dunstall?

Roo Kennedy is a top bloke and played alot of games but totc-I wouldn't think so.

Ken Judge?!?!?!?!?! hahahaha, he played about 80 games for Hawthorn. Yeah he had great skills and goal kicking ability but he was no superstar, just a very average player in an excellent team.
