Looks like swans have adopted our game plan of turning it over whenever possible. Not working for them either!
I'm sorry, but watching Freo today, I feel a bit more positive about our chances.
Swans played as bad as we did and lost by only 9 pts. We beat crows or dogs then freeo then GF.

Unfortunately true. People don't realise though that Bruest is actually a very bad overhead mark. Any contested mark for him is on the chest. But yeah, to put it bluntly he squibbed it, as did Roughy in another contest...which we players gave it to him for. 2 clear indicators that the players weren't tuned in.

That's what I thought. Fox Footy had us playing Syds on the telecast now?
Was a slip of the tongue. They also mentioned Hawks will be playing MCG Friday night and Sydney at ANZ stadium Saturday night.

I just saw the graphic at the pub and thought what the!?
Slowest brain in the team, horrific. For someone not overly big he has no agility, change of direction, which is why he is only capable in one position, running in straight lines to defend. Other than that he has no place in the team.

On reflection if we can win next week we will make the GF... Freo are dead set on their last legs, they'd be shitting themselves at the thought of playing us.
It'll be hard to beat west coast but at the G is a huge advantage to us. Whatever the case we need Cegs to ruck, clearly the best tap ruckman and given BB does 2 fifths of heck all outside of trying to compete at stoppages we have nothing to lose.

I just can't believe the disrespect to other clubs that clearly are giving ten times more than we did last night!! Freo do enough defensively to getaway with scoring 80 points and beating us! Swans showed heart and kept coming whereas we were crap and second rate. Our best players all year have been the same ones that had a bit of a dip last night.

Frawley is a limited player but is very good at what he does. Remember earlier in the year when he kept Franklin goalless?
He's the ideal matchup for a player like Josh Kennedy. Nah... let's play him in the forwardline instead!

Birchall is the biggest key to our clubs success IMO. Everygame we have lost the past 4 years Birch has usually been tagged out or had a stinker. Nowhere near his best this year. Really lacking that drive from our backline that we have grown accustomed to seeing at our best. Still hampered by his ankle.
Coupled with Gibson slowing down a tad, Stratton playing tighter it's left to Suckling who is hit and miss when it comes big games (more misses than hits unfortunately). Duryea has shown he can get a lot of the ball and has a decent bit of pace but some days he's Guerra 2.0 and other days he's lucky to hit a target.
So Pop suggests that the WCE adjusted better to the conditions because they kicked low and hard while Hawks kicked higher... Ummm, when the heck was that not ever a better strategy????
