You guys are on the ground there in Melbourne and a bit more in the know, so keen to get your input on a few of our young, inexperienced/new guys.

Looking to find a few of our young players who either haven't played much, or at all, in past AFL games but are due lots of game time this year - i.e. cheap for the Dream Team squad but will more than pull their weight.

Who of the following do you think will get a lot of game time in 2007:

Muston

Ellis

Dowler

McGlynn

Thorpe (think I saw that he is injured now)

Tuck

Murphy

Little

Looking the guys who are most likely to win points throughout the year.

Cheers!

PS - this is for our Scottish Dream Team league, so don't worry about me competing against you in the BF Hawks league after you've given me this info...!

Birch will cost a lotta points tho, u need players drafted this year, they are the ones that are the minimum cost, even Dowler Ellis and Muston will be more than this yeras crop .Thorps points wont go up til he plays so put him in about round 5-6 Renouf might get a game 1st of this yrs crop. But if u want value u may have to look at other teams picks this year.Gibbs ,hansen etc I always have at least half my team hawks players and its hard to win like that .Gonna try and be neutral this year but its dam hard.

I think delirious is talking about supercoach. Dream team doesn't start until mid/late march.

im picking renouf, ellis and muston. I think renouf is a good pick because out of all the young ruckmen in the league he has a fair chance of playing compared to them for obvious reasons

picked ?:p Is dream team accessable now? Each time I go to afl.com.au it says it is still coming soon :(
Don't know about AFL Dreamteam but Herald Sun one opened yesterday. Tim Boyle is a bolter @ $92,000, Birch is @ $358,700. Kosi from the Saints is also great value @ under $165,000 if they can keep him on the park. Got badly burnt last year picking mainly stars and rookies, so this year trying for a more even spread with second tier players on the improve. The way the Hawthorn senior side is looking this year, I think it will be much harder for first year players to break into the side unless it is based on excellent form, not blooding players for blooding's sake. My only tip - you can get Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs for around $500,000 - they will play all season barring injury, and both are ball magnets. That's two players for less than a Sammy Mitchell and they should get at least forty touches between them a week. Also leaves you a bit of extra coin to stack your forward line. Good Luck.

I disagree AC is still building for the future, the expectation of all hawks fans and officials is that Muston, Ellis and Tuck are going to be a big part of that future (i agree that 1st year players will have time in BH). I doubt they will be on the list for 2 years without at least 5+ senior games each. On supercoach they are the same price as the current batch of draftees

Dont know why i would give away my secret, but go through the lists and pick out the players which collect high amounts of possesions, you will be suprised how it evens out, i had $41,000 left over for my supercoach team

Definetly HAVE to have Birchall!
Birch is a must! wasnt that expensive, will get it back though will score average of 80 points per round easily
As with Renouf. I dont c him playing much this year.
agreed. dont understand people thinking renouf will play a lot. robbie and tails will play all 22 if fit no need for renouf otherwise, he isn't a defender.
hawks in my dream team were mitchell, hodge, birchall, franklin, Croad and Bateman.
got croad just because he was cheap, thought about boyle because he was a bargain and is a sniff to step up big time this season, might trade him in before round 1. roughead was cheap and thought about him and lewis was also a good deal but decided against it. also thought franklin was unbelieavably cheap and surely is a must for every hawk supporter.
