Lotta guys named on their 'wrong side'.

FB: Stratton......Lake.......Guerra
HB: Burgoyne..Frawley....Birchall
Ce: Bateman....Mitchell....Smith
Ru: BigBoy.......Hodge.......Lewis
HF: Gunston....Roughy...Franklin
FF: Popeye........Hale.........Rioli

I/C: Shiels...Suckling...Hill....Williams

Emg: Crawford...Sewell.....Bailey

Sorry: Campbell Brown.

Crawford definitely deserves a spot if we're nominating guys as per their best footy, but Crawf wasn't at his best in 2008. Same way Bailey doesn't get a gig because 2013 was his year, but his 'only' year. His tap work is clearly better than BigBoy, but BigBoy (in Premiership Years) contributed around the ground & on the score board.

I don't have a team, but I clicked on this thread to see if people put Crawford in, and of course some of you did, talk about sentimentality, he was past his prime in 2008 and for the period 08 - 15 shouldn't get a gig. Just my two cents.

Throwing the baby out with the bath water on JOR already Dixie??

He may have only played in the 2008 Grand Final, but Mark Williams would definitely find a spot for Hawthorn in the forward 50. He had an impressive career goal average for a small forward and kicked back to back 60+ goals in 2005-06. He averaged 2.1 goals in 2008 and kicked 46 goals that season.

It's a shame he had that severe knee injury which forced him to get traded to Essendon as he could've potentially had over 500+ goals in his career for a small forward had he been injury free and not gone into early retirement.

Lance Franklin: 180 games - 580 goals = 3.22
Jack Gunston: 115 games - 252 goals = 2.19
Mark Williams: 111 games - 242 goals = 2.18
Jarryd Roughead: 231 games - 491 goals = 2.12
Luke Breust: 140 games - 271 goals = 1.93
Cyril Rioli: 178 games - 268 goals = 1.50

Total = 2104 goals

HF: Rioli, Franklin, Gunston

F: Williams, Roughead, Breust

I'm pessimistic that O'Rourke will ever be a good player. At most he will be a mediocre player along the lines of Nick Ries or Brett Johnston. From what I've seen of him his skills are ordinary and his decision making is no better.

His U-18 form the year he was drafted was average save for the carnival where he suddenly blew everyone away and went at pick 2 to the Giants.

I hope I'm wrong but I fear we got sold a pup.

Couldn't agree more. Never seen it with him.

Hope we're proven wrong.

Yeah, I can understand your views. It's pretty simple with JOR, he needs to graduate from a 16/17 possession guy to a 22-24 possession guy, I think once he has that consistency of playing through the mid rotation week in week out we will see that.

He is pretty clean inside and distributing by hand, he can also kick a goal. I think he'll be a player, he has a huge motor but needs a long winded run at it so we know.
