He was our most dangerous forward against St Kilda in that 2008 Preliminary final when he had 17 disposals and kicked 5.4 and not to mention 3 goals in the Grand Final against Geelong when Franklin and Roughead were well held. He wasn't a huge possession getter for a small forward throughout his career, but he was arguably the most efficient small forward when he was at his best. He had an underrated 2008 finals series.
Such was the expectation of Mark Williams converting set shots for goal from almost anywhere inside 40m, similar to Breust and Gunston recently, by the time he converted most players from both teams were already back in the centre square waiting for the ball to return for the next bounce. Sure, his forward defensive pressure wasn't great but aside from kicking goals himself he was usually in the top 3 for goal assists per season.

Just stumbled on this thread , no time right now to go over it in detail .

The OP has is almost right tho , for staters.

Biggest omission by alot of you , not by the OP tho is , Daniel Chick .
He was a Club Champion and a Club Life Member , and he was basically the back flacker that went forward and invented the whole forward press/pressure philosophy we see today, if u want proof go watch the first 8 rnds of 2001 before he was injured, becasue he was talked about as being amongst the best players in all the AFL .

Could really play him anywhere , but he is a total lock for this team .

He was a gun for us for a couple of years there no doubt but in this time frame we are looking at, he was only with us for a short period and then left for the Eagles.

He was very close to being in my side though.

In accordance to the 50 games criteria I have begrudgingly left Lake out 

Guerra Croad J.Smith
Birchall Gibson Burgoyne
Hill Mitchell Crawford
Gunston Franklin Bruest
Rioli Roughead Williams

Foll: Hale Hodge Sewell

Int: Lewis Lekkas Bateman Brown

Emerg: Stratton Campbell

Coach: Clarkson

The interesting bit is from the starting
22, 10 are no longer playing: (9) retired and (1) no longer a good bloke 
Replenished the list to perfection!
