I agree, it seems like a kneejerk reaction to a delisting blunder, MiniSkip could have played a similar role.

At least the correct decision has been made, we need backup for our band of dodgy ruckmen with wonky knees, achiles problems, immature bodies and questionable skills. I hope he can perform well for us.

Actually I would prefer that we don't need him to play.

I think it's obvious they think we need a ruck purely in reserve, more than we need Tuck

Last year we had Skipper, Renouf, Taylor and Bailey ALL out injured for the North game, with the Renouf the ONLY ruck for about 6 weeks.

At the moment, we only have Hale and Renouf as the reliable rucks, Bailey a hope, but swelling a big issue, and Lowden preferably still bulking and learning.

If Hale and Renouf both get an injury at the same time, we're cactus.

A fair decision. If things work out, he won't play a game...but neither would have Tuck

I'm just agreeing with Demon 86 and feeling for Wayde Skipper who did all that was asked oF him, was one of our best against Freo in the final ( 2010 )and is a better player than Johnson. That said we do need support in the ruck - but why not Skipper?
