The media and the cesspit that is twitter:

2018 - Tom Mitchell and his stats are overrated and he doesn't have an impact on games.
Tom gets injured
2019 - Without Tom Mitchell, Hawthorn's season is done and the club will struggle without him in the team.

Interesting timing by AFL.com.au to publish midfield rankings the day after Tom's injury

This could probably go in a “dumb s**t posted on BF” thread, but the head*ed thread will do.

This guy genuinely thinks that the culture, programs, systems and history of a club like Hawthorn just washes away after one injury, rendering the HFC as a place that players would no longer entertain joining.

Not sure what an injury to a key player has to do with our whole recruiting program suddenly being defunct? Mitchell, O'Meara, Scully, Wingard and Scrimshaw's arrival indicates the postcode is still pretty sought after.

Bomber supporters are dumbest sports supporters of all without any doubt.

How many players have we managed to recruit since Mitchell broke his leg? The wheels have clearly fallen off the bus!!

Prediction: How we handle his injury will cement us as a destination club

This s**t can happen to any player and all players know it.

2019 premiership.

impey wins the Brownlow , Worpel wins the Rising Star , scrimshaw wins player of the finals, Lewis Mitchell (Hodge) wins the Coleman, while Nash has a blinder in the gf and wins the normie.

Cogs signs with us as a rfa. Shiel and Lynch make seperate press conferences stating that they are idiots and they really want to play for Hawthorn, where Clarko laughs and goes nah, we got wingard thanks!

Pretty sure Worpel can't win the rising star. Played too many games.
