It’s institutionalised in that there is a nasty undercurrent of it still existing. The hatred stemming from Brenton Tarrant types etc is just next level.
fair enough. i definitely agree with that.

I promise I won’t be as aggressive any more lol. Think it’s time for me to head back to the Super Coach thread and stay there.
Be open minded mate. It's ok to be like that.

Legitimately or expected?

Reeves was not at the club until well after the allegations, and the club followed AFL directions, so reckon this is a quick way for the AFL to close the matter.
Expect him to accidentally fall into an AFL role

Hmmm no he wasn’t at the club when the allegations occurred but he was ceo when the club decided to launch the stupidest “I can’t believe it’s not a report” report.

Even though he has years to go on his contract I’m sure it’s not related ……..

Wouldn't be beyond the realms of AFL possiblity

-AFL wants to close quickly
-Shoulder is tapped
- In turn, AFL closes said investigation and has a scapegoat inhouse

Whilst he had termination clauses in his contract, I’m sure he’s leaving with some dough, at least in order to keep him from talking.

Start the financial tally for how much this will cost hawthorn.

Whilst there would be an aspect of a payout, at least until end of this year

Im assuming there would be a fine from the AFL/funds paid into a fund for the families of what went on

That will close the AFL side of things

For Whats to come later, no-one knows, and it would be foolish to comment as it would be a guess

Hmm, I don't think so. Damien Barrett has been floating trial balloons re: draft punishments for the past few weeks. I doubt he'd run with that without having some sort of inside word.

I look forward to all the Hawks fans replying with "we followed the AFL process".

Reeves will step down from the role effective immediately due to the personal toll and the need to focus on his well-being in what has been a very difficult period for the club.

Does this mean he has no reason to provide a version of events or justification of his part in the matter now?

There won't (or at least shouldn't) be draft sanctions. Financial, maybe, but draft sanctions should be related to actual Football related stuff like tanking, draft fixing, salary cap cheating, doping etc.

Nothing in this scandal involves trying to get some type of advantage over other clubs. Well, maybe if it was proven they tried to **** Clarkson and/or Fagan over but I find it doubtful that's the case, less likely that it could be proven if it was, and even more unlikely for the AFL to ever let that see the light of day.

I’m waiting for the flowchart…

Reeves has two problems;
  1. He commissioned the report including determining the scope.
  2. He was Kennett's man and there is a new president.
It is not really surprising for mine.
I wonder if he'll dish the dirt...
Doubt it. He is at the centre of the stuff Clarko is livid about - the running of the process. And there is no love lost between the two.

The funny thing is I am not even sure I have ever been on Bay 13. If I did it must have been years ago.
If you got it for your work on this thread well done, that's a higher accolade than people might understand. I'll buy you a beer or make you a cuppa one day.
