No Stratton??

Who does he displace though? That's a tough backline to crack. Guerra probably just ahead of Stratts who is just ahead of Brown.

Edit: He's on the interchange anyways

Stratton gets in ahead of the Browndog, no? or maybe even ahead of Hay. He has had an immense 10 seasons at the club for me.

It has been requested that i point out that Lake in fact played 54 games for the hawks and thus qualifies.

Aside from Hay's 2001, Lake was easily better and gets in ahead. Now to undo all my good work but i reckon that another couple of seasons like Frawleys last and i think he is in the conversation too (premiership, 100+ games and underrated as a stopper holding our backline together)

Hay and Brown both AA and Stratts not though...
Brown had one great year then a few solid ones. Not really a difference maker once we were good, I do remember we were blaming rule changes on him not being good enough in the backline anymore and then he became a forward that was easily replaced by Puopolo. In 2010 fans really didn't care when he left he was that bad in the finals, after making a big deal about not trading him for Burgoyne in 09 (I was one of them and far from alone!).

Can't ignore what he did, but I can't help but feel the comparison is more offensive to Stratts, AA be damned. Joel Smith was great every year, Brown really wasn't.

If Brian Lake isn’t in the team then the selection criteria is all wrong.

We recruited him to do exactly what he did and 3 premierships ensued. Norm Smith medal for the win.

More controversially Stuie Dew and David Hale deserve time be on the bench - best swingmen we’ve had (outside S Burgoyne).
