Not dim enough to believe that shit. I'm interested to hear your post-hoc bullshit excuse for what your Hawthorn flag count signature is really about. Must be hard to come up with something convincing, otherwise you'd have told us already.
And you say I'm deflecting? Hahaha

Wouldn't surprise me, it was that kind of disrespect that forced us to let him go :)
Classic, are you involved in the inner workings of the football club?

I don't believe it's the beginning of the end for the Hawks but the way the side was bundled out of the 2016 finals is reminiscent of Geelong's 'demise' in 2014.
Not that reminiscent. You beat us in a QF by 2 points after an after the siren miss. We beat you by 6 goals in the QF in 2014. The only similarity was that we both went out in straight sets.

Sounding more and more like a bombers fan with every post."But they don't even have a positive drug test! etc etc". Given how Dank behaved elsewhere it is pretty reasonable to assume that where there is smoke there is fire.
There's not even any smoke. Dank had nothing to do with the club, Dean Robinson probably talks to a lot of people on the phone.

You must be really hurting to take up this line of accusation.

I meant BEFORE the investigation started, and if so provide a reference.
Sure.

In 2007 Max Rooke was sent to Germany to undertake treatment on his hamstring injury. He visited Dr Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfarth, a world leader in the treatment of soft-tissue injuries. Part of that treatment was the injecting of Actovegin to treat the injury, a fact that was widely reported in the media at time. The treatment was successful and Rooke was able to return more quickly than previously thought.

The success of this treatment led the club’s medical staff to use Actovegin to treat other soft tissue injuries. Members of our medical staff travelled to Germany to meet with Dr Muller-Wohlfarth to gain a greater insight into his methods. This treatment was approved in 2009 by the AFL’s chief medical officer, Dr Peter Harcourt and is approved by ASADA and WADA.

So apart from Robinson saying on the eve of the 2007 GF "Steve has also had a big input here", and Geelong admitting to actually buying gear from Dank, the GFC had nothing to do with Dank?

Delusional.

Lol. Your source is a press release by the Geelong football club in 2015, 6 years after the drugs were bought from Dank. Excuse me if I'm a little sceptical. In any case, my original post made it clear Actovegin was approved and many other clubs were making use of blood products. The concern is not actovegin, but the connection with Dank. It is also concerning that Cam Mooney claimed no players received injections, when clearly they did, honest mistake or covering up? Your link is total spin, they make it sound like the they'd barely heard of Dank, and the fact that they bought drugs from his company was more a co-incidence than anything else. Despite Dank claiming he was 'paid for the drug and the “protocols on how to inject it"' which makes it sound like much more of an advisory role.

Geelong buying WAD/ASADA legal Actovigen from a company who have some 'connection' to Dank is not an issue, sorry but it's just not.

You do realise Dank worked for Essendon yeah? He injected the players with stuff directly.

Dank was turned down for any position at Geelong, and they weren't going to let Robinson, a fitness bloke, inject anyone with anything.

So unless they've developed injection via phone line, there's no possible issue here.

Luckily Geelong have proper medical professionals who kept records of everything, and cleared it all with the AFL beforehand.

Not for you. "connection" to Dank is pure spin. He is not some massive conglomerate. He made the calls to organise the drugs from the Ukraine personally. He wasn't some abstract figurehead at the top of a corporate structure that wasn't directly connected with the transaction.

Yes, the herald sun article I linked to made it clear that the injections were done by club doctors not Dank. Dank only advised on the injection regime.

Very sensible , but as Robinson himself said, Dank had a lot of input into the Geelong sports science program.

Luckily Geelong have proper medical professionals who kept records of everything
Lets hope so, if they were incomplete, it wouldn't be the first club Robinson and Bomber Thompson were involved in when records were not complete enough to know exactly what went on, but it is not really in the best interest of any of the parties, including the AFL to dig too deep there.

You think the statement is false? You think the AFL would have no problem with the GFC making false claims about AFL approvals in media statements?

Well you already admitted you think the AFL are in on a coverup for Geelong, so I'm not sure I should bother here.

Where did you read the bolded?

It truly is amazing that the billion dollar AFL industry can't find any evidence of wrongdoing but "bloke on Internet forum deduces systematic cheating based on a couple of people having spoken to each other."

You're the real Columbo, aren't you?

I don't question the AFL approval. I question the whitewashing of their connection with Dank. The relationship was clearly stronger than that press release made it sound based on all the other evidence, and especially public statements from Robinson (before there was any reason to be on guard when it came to statements on Dank).

Coverup is going too far. But to suggest it was in their best interest to have the most thorough investigation possible is also going too far.

You may need to search for it on google to read it. Herald Sun have a paywall that isn't put up if you clicked on the link from google search results.
