I got a 2 week ban from posting on the bombers board once - everything I wrote was the truth. You lot are too sensitive for me

Yep, that puritanical campaigner Merv gave me (TWITA actually) a 'second serious' and a lengthy spell for no reason whatsoever other than I used to outsmart him constantly on the Bay - when he 'retired' he left with his little gift.

Confirmed my long held suspicion that Essendon polesmokers are most likely to be parking inspectors in their day job.

In: Guerra
Out: Cheney

Another week for Hodge and Franklin

Loved Hale's work yesterday (and this year really) so no place for the unlucky bailey at this stage.

I been inclined to keep Cheney in, as good as Goo has been and still can be Cheney will be the one to replace him when the time is up.
Wouldn't mind seeing Hill get a game as speed is the best way to beat the Scums at their own game..

Guerra in, Murphy out. Considered Cheney but Cheney has the pace to help us out against the Dons, whilst Murphy isn't that quick, and we'll probably need pace with Davey, Jetta etc up forward for Essendon

Leave Hodge and Bailey in the scoobs. 2 games in 20 weeks, and just 1 run in the scoobs, for Hodge means leave him out and bring him in for the Cats game if he continues to pull up well. Based on form, we don't need him. Even give him 3 in the scoobs and bring him in for the GC game and go from there. Bails, well he'll have to wait. Hale and Roughie doing enough to keep him out, plus our forwards are doing enough to allow us to keep it the way it is.

In: Goo
Out: Murf

Unleash Franko and the skipper against the Cats and finish their hopes for the year. We owe them big time.

Then rest Mitch and Hale against Port, bring in Bails and Changa.
Rest Sheils and Ruffy against GC (plus a couple more)

Then set sail for home.

We shouldn't really lose again.

The lid? What lid? Stuff keeping a lid on it. We are have just shown the rest of the comp that 'beat us if you can, but f..ken good luck'
We will give the bummers an absolute lesson on fri night and the put an end to the geel winning streak against us since 2008. After that, well, good luck.
I think some are a bit harsh on murph. I think he has been great. Suggestions that bailey and changa come in is nonsense. The only 2 that will get back into the current side is hodge and bud. The side is perfectly balanced and is set fir a massive onslaught!

Guerra for Cheney will be the only change.
Saw a bit of footage of Hodge tweaking something wearing the number 75 yesterday, didn't like the look of it, don't think he will play this week.

Guerra gets back in. I agree that something special is building.

Guerra in for Murphy.
Hodge is no hope based on what I saw yesterday.
Max is going to have to keep playing games like he did yesterday for another few weeks to stand any chance of displacing Hale IMO.

Cheney was a typo.

I thought he was great also, don't want to see him go, our depth is amazing right now, would like to see Buddy not forward after two past weeks as the goal spread is awesome, also Buddy can kick goals from 60 metres!

Go and watch the game and his crap disposal, he cost us goals...at one stage even Clarko gave up how ordinary he was when he turned the ball over for the umpteenth time.

Out: Murphy In: Goo

Captain turnover has gotta go, he was absolutely ordinary yesterday, those disposals with no pressure were an absolute joke and costly.

How anyone in here believes Cheney should go out before Murphy are dillusional.

If Guerra is our only in I will look forward to quoting this post again at 6.30pm Thursday night.

Malthouse said Murphy is in our best 18. We belted the flag favourite and his former club. He knows a bit.

Murphy stays.

Haterz will hate !
Murphy take your girlfriend, mate?

Your anti-Murphy posting is getting funny, now.

The people thinking Murphy had a good game yesterday need to check their glasses.

Clarko had to move Burgers back Murphy forward as a defensive forward on Maxwell and then he was very poor at that.
I agree completely. Reading all the posts about how well he went made me think I watched a different game.
He looked a bit out of his depth in defence before being moved forward where he was OK. But it is hard to ignore six changers in a pressure match. He was better last week.

Malthouse is a knob, he swings around like a pendulum, one minute it's this and the next it's that...I couldn't give a rats cracker what he says, I barrack for the Hawks....he doesn't

There are only two players that I can see come out for Hodge and Buddy but I can't see a third player come out for Goo..
Gee this is going to be tough month choosing a side...

The way I see Murphy's game - he did no amount of 'worse things' than he normally would but probably did a few more 'better things'. Doesn't mean he had a particularly good game, but based on his own level it was nowhere near as bad as people make out.

There's a reason he is a depth player. We all realise this - no need to go for the jugular.

However, we now have/expect such high levels from all of our players with regards to 'better things', his better things aren't really that special. Why?

He's not quick (straight line or laterally). He's not a great kick. He's a solid mark but a poor spoiler.

He often fails to impact marking packs when he is the spare man.

Thats why when he does do a howler, it shines out like a beckon. The other thing is, stuff like that can run thru a side like a cancer. Sucks the confidence out of a team in a split second.
