Not difficult, but scheduled terribly.

So that Round 2 leak was a fib. Only Marvel game is against Suns, which is fair, because who wants to watch that anyway. Only 1 game in Adelaide too. Good for club, crap for me!

No it wasn't. Hawthorn was originally scheduled to play the Bulldogs as a 'home game' at Marvel Stadium. Hawthorn complained vigorously to the AFL about the odd concept of playing a home game at the opponent's home track during a period where all clubs are trying to build memberships.

The fixture was meant to be released yesterday. Caroline Wilson reported this morning that Hawthorn was one of several clubs unhappy with the original fixture set to be released yesterday. The prospect of playing the Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium as a home game in round 2 was a significant reason for Hawthorn's initial disappointment with the fixture.

This. We were the ones that complained. That r2 fixture was a ferken farce intially!!

It’s a good draw. Take the 5 Fri nights to the bank.

Surprised we only get the Dons once and at Marvel. We usually draw massive crowds in that game.

R23 v WCE in Perth hurts if we’re borderline in the 8.
They prob don't want us beating them twice in a year again to ruin their top 8 chances.

Two twilight matches (round 1, 2019 against the Crows and round 22, 2019 against the Suns). Five Friday night matches, six Sunday matches on Channel 7, one Saturday night match on Channel 7. Not a bad draw from a TV perspective.
