I saw the incident on tele the other night and going on how tough the tribunal has been this year Hay should have gone for two matches. Personally, I think he was just trying to get the guy off him, but he has elbowed him in the face and other players this year have been outed for lesser indiscretions (Careys little tap on Kane Johnson comes to mind). The tribunal is hopeless - all anyone asks for is consistency but they can not deliver that....

How can you compare Hay's incident with Carey's ??? Hay did swing his arm back and the TOP of his arm (around the bicep) connected with McLeods chin/neck area. His elbow NEVER connected which is why he was cleared. Carey on the other hand looked down at Kane Johnson before he punched him in the cheekbone ... which explains why he PLEAD GUILTY and got 1 match ... would have probably been two if he didn't plead guilty !!!
Get your facts straight. Even thought the tribunal is a joke, this was NOT a good example.

Yeah, it probably was a bad example....although it was the lightest 'punch' you would ever see...

And I think that Hay was OK to get off, BUT if we go on precedence then Hay should have been rubbed out. The tribunal has been tough this year for any kind of rough antics.
