Been in the system a while now, and some were speculating that he could be traded on, or delisted.
He's found a spot, and should go from strength to strength now he belongs (hopefully).
Persistence pays off in the end, 2011 first round draft pick.
Wasn't he a second rounder?

Finally being allowed to play with some flair & freedom which comes with his role at half back. Master stroke decision by Ross.

Crozier was looking like trade/delist bait for a while. Completely turned it around. And Sheridan is benifitting by playing on the wing a bit & sneaking forward. Good moves all round.

I've always been a fan ever since Crozier played a great game against Hawthorn a couple of seasons back!

I looked forward to his continued development into a quality half back flanker.

Always been a Crozier fan.
I like him in defense, but would love to see him spend some time in the middle/wing too. Sublime foot skills.
Been in the system a while now. Only 42 games, but a good 11 of these as the sub.
I can only see him getting better with more games :)

Interesting story from end of last year: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-12-07/size-matters-as-crozier-targets-fyfelike-transformation-
"Crozier, who turns 22 later this month, was listed at just 68kg when he was drafted and is currently listed at 80kg.
He is keen to add more weight to his frame this summer while maintaining his running capacity.
"It's well documented I came in fairly skinny and a little pasty kid from Victoria," Crozier said.
"Seeing a guy like Nat Fyfe, the amount of size he's put on in a couple of years without losing any running ability, it's something to look up to.
"I'm just trying to work hard in the gym and get my body right."

Extremely damaging off half back, don't know why this wasn't tried in the past, absolutely relishing in his new role which is fantastic to see after being inconsistent in the forward line.
Bravo Hayden :D:thumbsu:

Nah - keep him at half back. Blokes who can distribute the ball like he can over 50 meters are worth their weight in gold. They are the ones that break the opposition press open. Before the season is out he will be the one tagged.

I wonder if it was Ross, not that I'm potting Ross, I'd just like to know whose idea it was because it was a goody.

Finally a natural at half back. Sheridan didn't seem to make that position his. Now that Crozier has, Tommy has kicked a couple goals recently and being more of an offensive weapon on the wing. Can't complain.
Crozier has had 24 marks in two weeks..

Couldn't find a place for him in the 22 until this change of role. Has been amazing the last few weeks. Will be interesting to see how he copes with forward lines paying him more attention. I think he'll be ok.

It's the best part of not having any pressure - we can spend time in proper season conditions exploring where the best spot is for our younger players. If we'd been in contention this season, it'd never have happened

Crozier plays better when he's in a position to roam and the ball is in front of him, he's a natural reader of the play, has wheels and high energy not to mention the marking ability.
I'm not concerned if the opposition man him up that means we have another player that isn't getting attention and should get off the leash.
Really like the position for him, so far he's better than Ibbo (slow transition)

Necessity is the mother of invention.

He really wasn't. Just couldn't get a game over the Subans, Tendais and Clancees despite dominating week after week in the WAFL.

Disagree, if he couldn't break in like he did, we would have floated his name around for sure. Glad we're not but, been one I've kept an eye on for years since that u18s mark!

His overhead game has been a bit of a revelation for me and with him, Shero, Blakely and LW providing some much needed run he just needs a little more toughness at the contest to be almost the complete player. His second quarter on Saturday was commanding.

It was me:

"Personally I think Crozier can become a player, but I think he struggles as a forward. Sure he has not had the ideal run of games, but he has had opportunities. I sometimes have wondered how he would go on small forwards, and as a running defender. He can tackle, has pace, reasonable kicking and a great leap. We need better skills down back."

If he can maintain his current form Freo have finally found their Duffield replacement and he's been right under their noses the entire time.

Your anti youth sentiment is annoying. Crozier has played 42 games, not 4. He has played 11 games each of the last 2 seasons. "He couldn't get a game over the Subans, Tendais and Clancees" is total nonsense. He's not going to get gifted games and he hasn't taken his opportunities until now.
