That's a massive shame for both of them. They weren't ever really going to crack it on our list but both have talent and could even be a small chance of finding opportunities elsewhere.
Even if they don't make it back into the AFL I wish them best of luck and encourage them to continue with their football careers.

Agreed, don't really think Dessie got the opportunity he deserved, whenever he played he always bobbed in with a couple of goals but was then dropped to make way for returning players. Good luck to both boys though

Haynes and Slade may be picked up by other clubs, Haynes can be handy but it shows how good your club is with getting rid of him. He is bit like Ben Dixon.
Slade appeared to have the talent but injuries ruined his chance at your club.

Slade was never going to play 2 years of Ostioitis should have gone last year. HAynes has had far too many chances and was let go by a side that doesnt have forwards in the first place.

I dont think Haynes was our worst forward and I liked the way he presented himself in the forward line.
Don't think he was one of Bombers favorites and if he had been given the same chances as Henry he might have proven himself.
I hope he gets picked up by another club but that appears doubtful.
Ah well I guess someone has to go dont they.

Looking at the Age today, uncontracted players were Haynes, Slade, Thurley and Blake, but not McCarthy.

Blake is definitely not being delisted and I would be quite surprised to see Thurley go, so that looks like that's that.
