I don't think so, not yet, it's barely scratched the surface with the first episode.

They definitely want you to suspect McCoungahey but I hope they don't take it down that cheesy route, it's looks very promising so far.

Good first episode. I might do a re-watch to see if there is anything I missed in hinting toward who the killer is, but I don't think it is Martin or Rust, or at least I hope it's not.

I was really impressed with the acting. Both leads are very, very good. Writing is, obviously, top notch too. Love the whole setting art direction and photography too. They're really evoking a very vivid picture through craft rather than gimmicks.

Good summation of a really classy start to this NB lack of gimmicks, and great writing, acting and art direction. Hope the creators of Sherlock watch it and learn something.

I think I have. Season 3, to me, is the opposite of what I posted re True Detective: style over substance, packed with gimmicks and lacking the heart it once had.

Great summation. Many people are easily pleased these days.

Probably too early to say but within 10min I thought it looks like an improved version of The Killing.

Reminded me a bit of the recent show Rectify. That's the one I immediately thought of for similarities in tone and setting.
