Where's the cheapest place to get them? I want to connect my PS3 to my TV. Thanks.

This may sound stupid, but is a very valid remark: Ensure you TV supports HDMI cables before purchasing one

Dumb mistakes are my specialty! Yes, my TV has 2 HDMI inputs :)

Whats up with monster cables?

as far as HDMI is concerned you pay way way way way way ++++ over the odds for the cable.

HDMI is a digital medium, over short distances as long as the 1s & 0s get to their destination, expensive cables don't matter.

Some dude at HN tried to sell me $200+ HDMI cables. I laughed at him.

It's the same as CAT5/6 and you can get CAT6 cable for $5/m. So why would you pay $120/m for the same thing.

Alternatively, you could find a mate who works at HN and get them to use their staff discount, because the mark up on those cables are incredible. My mate works @ HN and bought me one for my B'day, cost him $25!

Selbdy Acoustics.

$32.95 for 2m HDMI cables.
HDMI 1.3 certified so it can transport the latest HD audio codecs.

HDMI is standards based, so as long as its HDMI 1.3 certified you're right.

Monster is way overpriced. Kordz is more affordable, but you're still looking at $50 for a 2m cable

i go on the dtv forums alot and this website sells some high quality affordable HDMI cables. highly recommended

Word of advice for people. DO NOT BUY MONSTER CABLES.

Have to bump this thread up for people looking at HDMI cables. Just bought 2 x 2 metre cables from Foxtail at DTV Forums who is selling HDMI cables on his websited http://www.ezyhd.com (Formerly hdmioz). These cables are an excellent build, gold plated ends and are 1.3 certified too. All the shizniz that a $1000 monster cable possesses.

The 2 metre cables are $20 each (you can get other cable lengths as well) plus $8 delivery. Ordered on Easter Monday and received them today. He emails you once he's acknowledged the order and emails once again once cables are dispatched. Superb customer service.

Once again, Foxtail's site is highly recommended if you are on the look out for HDMI cables.
