Fun Fact:

If you say 'Kinnear Beatson' in front of a mirrow 3 times.

swansfan51 will appear and throw shade at you, your life choices and your interior decorating.
I'm staying neutral in the Horse thread!!! FFS

Bring on the Kinnear discussion anytime, the research room is constantly prepped for it

I still think Kinnear Beatson might be the main problem.

Is he passed it?

Seems to have lost his abilities in the last few years.

Asleep at the wheel imo.
How so?

You cannot deny that we have brought youngsters in who are very talented and who have filled needs that were glaring in our list. It's his job to get the right players on the list.

It's then up to the senior coach to do something with those players. Beatson's done his job, whether Horse has is yet to be determined. But all signs point towards a big fat NO on that one.

I think Beatson has done well, given the cards he has been dealt.

A Norf acquaintance is convinced Horse and Blakey senior will return to Arden St at the end of this year and Blakey jnr will want a trade there within a couple of years. Horse will be appointed as Director of Football and not as Coach.

Admittedly this was in the midst of an argument about the problematic future existence of the Lollies. The bloke was cranky and was needling me about our form. Maybe it was simply the grog talking but he did seem convincing.

1 more than 21 other blokes unfortunately.
Kizza along with Paps had 2 goal assists each, with only a few others having 1. It's one of Kizza's strengths but that alone is just not enough to get a game in his role. He really needs to finish off his work for a few goals. Pretty much what Rohan is doing at the Cats. Few possies is ok as a defensive 2 way running forward, if you can score a couple each week. So I'm think due to a lack of pressure for spots & experience, Kizza will probably get another game.
I'm not going to get into an argument on whether he should or shouldn't but I just think he will because we are seriously low on games experience if we are looking to beat GWS.

He'll definitely get more games as:

a) we're gash and there is nobody really putting their hand up to replace him; and
b) Longmire is conservative and likes sticking with his favourites regardless of form

If Melbourne have been ‘beyond woeful’, what have we been?
Not good either but two very different expectations for both teams.
Melbourne were a flag threat prior to round 1 while we were a bottom 4 side for most expert's predictions.

Pretty much the only ones to have us in the 8 was Paul Roos & Sarah Ollie, a Swan supporter.
So my thinking means both woeful but Melbourne wins the Woeful Cup hands down at this point.

Well I at least hope the Blakey Jnr bit is wrong.

He is on a 4 year contract thankfully and towards the end of that our young list should be maturing and hopefully he will want to be a part of that!

In the ‘all things being equal season’ (which is really the ONLY thing you can go by as we all start from a level playing field...not predictions), we win the Woeful Cup Ted, they beat us, they’re better than us!

This thread is simply extraordinary. It's no more than a licensed pile on by a bunch of blokes who haven't a clue what a game plan looks like let alone any idea of the finer details of man management across a group of 45 odd mostly young men.

Leaving aside the small detail of 17 other similar organisations trying to do similar against our one but better.

How in the world have we made finals the past however many years with such a shit coach/game plan/list manager/veteran group/fringe group/selection process/skill set/you name it.

Now I appreciate the need to let off steam and if it was confined to this thread maybe it would be tolerable but it's now infected almost every bloody thread on the Swans board.

The same 6-10 posters. Over and over.

And if you object or even debate you get labelled a fan boy with rose coloured glasses or worse. Some rookie poster got told to leave the forum the other day. Thankfully that post was deleted by mods.

Thank god our players have more character than many of our so called supporters.
