Enjoy the future . Hopefully you have no role in your racetrack.
Been involved in football longer than I am prepared to admit.

People on this board have been calling for Longmire's end for years now. And for years Longmire has continued to coach us into finals.

I have written earlier about the onfield issues, none of which relate to game plan. I see no objective evidence that Longmire has "lost the players". I don't consider the purchase of properties or houseboats or whatever anything more than the purchase of those things.

It's kind of like people predicting a war or a stockmarket crash. Eventually it will happen and you'll be right all of a sudden. But it won't change the fact that you've (not you personally in this instance) been wrong on every occasion before.

And I think we'll play finals this year. Again. And as a kid barracking for South that kind of thing never happened. Now it always does.

I remember being scared because I went to buy some chips at half time and there were no other patrons and four (bored) servers asked if they could help me? Surreal.
Did you get your tickets from the guy standing out the front with a fist full, trying to give them away to everyone who walked past?

No. I used to get a phone call from QBE each year asking how many tickets I wanted and to which games? The benefits of having car insurance with them...

Ok let’s start a separate replacements thread mods?
We have a coach so its an irrelevant discussion for its own thread. If he gets sacked or whatever the thread can be started then while we have an interim.

Until Horse is no longer our coach one way or another, it's not too much of a discussion imo.

Quite fair Bruce , all well said , at least you and Ted can have a reasonable discussion for your side of the coaching future , not like one that tries to bully .

So what about all the ‘Tom Mitchell threads’? 😁

Edit: I forgot the smiley face

I lived in Sydney, I don't recall there ever being anything available until the mid to late 90s. It might have been there, but I was very poor in those days, and couldn't have afforded anything so I just might not have noticed. I do recall there being lots of hand knitted scarves and beanies!

Edit: spelling

What was Collingwood’s game plan before the “change” and what is it now?
Spot on. It was exactly the same, he just got the players right. They then played the same gameplan for a couple of years and viola! they got it.

A season is only 22 or so games long. Isn't it strange that after major changes in personnel and modifications of a gameplan, we expect the coach and team to get it perfect in 22 games. It took Buckley a few seasons to get the team to get it right. We might give our coaches the same leeway, perhaps?
