Excellent work from Headless. It is a highly useful piece at a time when there is a small amount of debate about the beez and the posting component of the All SFA.

There is no doubt the beez winner and runner-up had daylight between them and the rest of the comp. Both are terrific match thread posters and consummate media practitioners as well as doing a lot for other posters and stuff behind the scenes. In bizarre circumstances one of them did not make All SFA.

Having voted with a weighting to match thread posting, it was no surprise to me 3 posters figured with high votes to posts ratios. Irrespective of the quality of what they add to the comp via media threads and/or behind the scenes, they are relative non-events in match threads. I doubt any of the three would have made my top 50.

I think there is some sort of case to rebase how 'posting' is assessed in the beez. This would reinforce match thread posting.

For example, many seasons ago, I had absolutely no interest in media, so rated match thread posting higher.

These days, I'm honestly finding match threads a bit more mundane and frustrating, so typically would find greater utility from a poster contributing, say, 20 match thread posts and a media thread, rather than 80 match thread posts.

It's a catch 22 really. While I agree that match thread posting should be recognised more strongly this board does an excellent job of recognising people who create content for discussion.

Match thread posting is the meat and potatoes of the joint. Imagine having 100 people regularly posting up media.
