Great effort by the Hawks against Geelong on Saturday, and if you needed any further evidence the Hawks are getting things right you just needed to see the Kangaroos play this afternoon.

Hay and Thompson were pathetic. They have hearts like peas and it is clear these types of player are no longer tolerated at Hawthorn. I am so glad they are no longer our problem. Our recruiting and trading has been 1st class over the past 24 months and I am looking forward to further improvement at Hawkland.

yeah hawks are heading in the right direction. it will be a bumpy ride but we can pull off huge upsets because everyone thinks we're pathetic. as mike said today we're more developed then some think. hopefully we can beat the lousy teams that we always stumble against.

Yes, AH, poor North are virtually taking the field with 16 players, most of the latter were not too crash hot either with the exception of Rocca.

Imagine the outcry if Thommo and Hay played like they did today in our present side. I agree with you that our team is getting it right and I sigh with relief that we have seen the back of those two. I really feel sorry for North. I think some heads will roll there and the ones responsible for attracting Thommo and Jonno to their ranks may find themselves in hot water. Both are on top dollars which the Kangas will not be able to afford, especially if they keep on performing like they did today.
