It was reported in the sunday times today that Fremantle should trade there first 2 picks for headland plus trade McPhee to collingwood for there first pick.
Hence giving us pick 5,16,21 for headland.
What are peoples thoughts on this?

And what would Eagle supporters be willing to give us for Troy Longmuir?

McPhee is not worth a first round draft pick. Collingwood will want another player thrown in for a deal to happen.

Damn skippy. Who's McPhee when he's at home??

Just as Embley isn't worth Chick (as being reported). If the toasters give us a second rounder for T Lo then McPhee and a second rounder might go close to Collingwoods first rounder.

Would be too much. I mean come on, with 3 high picks the calibre of players Freo could pick up would far outweigh Headland.

Are picks 5,16,21 worth a player who's had 1/2 a good season?

It is what Brissy is going to demand. It will take that to get him.

Its up to Freo to decide if he's worth it but Brissy won't be trading him for less.

It's supposed to be a poor draft group this year, so the draft picks might not be as valuable as in past years.

Headland had a good year in 2001, and has upped the stakes this year. The story of only having a half a season of good football is false.

This year taking established players over drafting, may be the way to go.

Bollocks. If Brisbane want to play hard ball, good on them, but that should not mean we will pay too high a price for Headland. Brisbane are the ones with the most to lose here. If it comes down to the last day of trading, they will take whatever they can get. If they choose not to trade him for anything less than a kings ransom, then they deserve to get nothing.

A guy who gets top ten in the brownlow from about half a season whether we ilke it or not is going to cost a lot.

Headland i coming out of contract at the worst possible time.

Its the opposite for Chick. If Chick was coming out of contract the same year as his B&F year then he would cost a lot more.

Freo will have to pay. Don't worry about that!
