It’s BS isn’t it. The idea is people are supposed to be staying put to stop the virus spreading, not scrambling to move elsewhere ASAP to avoid the restrictions.

When it comes down to it they’re not that worried about public health are they.

Yep. It is what the people of Wuhan did. It is not just AFL players doing it though by the sounds of things.

The cops are onto your little game AFL. Here’s the latest on The Age website:

Hotspot Residents Caught Out Trying to Change Their Addresses

Residents from Melbourne's 10 coronavirus hotspots have attempted to change the address on their driver’s licence to get around restrictions as they enter strict lockdown conditions for a second time.

VicRoads has moved to stop a significant surge in licence amendments as people rushed to change their addresses in the hopes of getting through police checkpoints.

No word yet on how many of them were AFL players.

Ughhh, groan, facepalm...whatever.
This shows little to no understanding of how the virus works....or more likely a cynical move to get around the regulations regardless of what it does to the greater public.
Ironically it will probably also rebound on the AFL anyway as it risks getting the virus well and truly into the player groups all round.

Just staggeringly stupid on all levels.

Not sure what we used to call ‘flitting’ in Yorkshire is in line with the spirit of the players Covid 19 code either. What is the difference from Steele Kipping on his mates bed?

In fact tehy fined steele extra for the optics, then pulled this stunt which is a very bad look, 50 times worse

What could possibly go wrong

NORTH Melbourne captain Jack Ziebell is embracing the fast-moving developments of this unique AFL campaign and says footballers need to do their bit to keep the season going.

Ziebell - who will miss Saturday's clash against the Western Bulldogs due to a hamstring injury - was one of a number of AFL footballers and staff living in Victoria's COVID-19 'hotspot' postcodes who were forced to find temporary accommodation on Wednesday.

The Roos organised for him and teammates Jy Simpkin, Mason Wood and Paul Ahern to move into an Airbnb rental before a likely relocation to a Sydney quarantine hub next week.

Ziebell's girlfriend, Shannon, is also staying with them.
