The conclusion has been reached that 90% of the Crows side that took on Geelong today is in urgent need of heart transplant. This is a ****ing disgrace.

I realise you cannot win every game you play and as such I accept that we will lose game but I cannot accept a loss when it comes from the lack of trying.I give full credit to Geelong who showed guts and determination and willingness to put their body on the line. Our boys were soft, disinterested and downright crap.

I thought our skills were just as much as worry as our endevour.

So much wasted disposal. I didn't expect to be outclassed in that department by Geelong.

What I saw was ****ing disgusting. I ended up going back to bed for a nap - only to be woken by Go South (sms message) on the siren. Thank christ I missed most of it. That was disgracefull.

The Crows are like a box of chocolates at the moment - you never know which ones your going to get

I have tickets to the showdown...............I wish I had saved my money.

We should have had a good lead at quarter time. Just not clinical enough with the use of the ball & our goal kicking. What is the point in winning the taps if our midfielders aren't getting 1st use of the ball...

Most of our experienced players are showing no hunger & i'm afraid that just about most of our next group are not up to AFL standard at the moment.

Going to be a long long year.

Yeah, Roo & lesser extent Burton can't carry our midfield every week ... though Stinger was OK today. Missing Goody badly! Where are Edwards, Macca... Dogga was quiet after starting well. Thought Gags was OK, but had strangely limited game time. Bodey tries hard, but lacks class.

Or more to the point whats the point of having midfielders that can't take advantage of the ruck dominance. Both ruckmen played well but its the bloody onballers that we second to the ball and playing from behind. Not ruckmen's fault its the bloody midfielders that are CRAP.

Stiffy, both are at fault. Many of our taps did not go to the advantage of our midfielders. I can't understand why it these circumstances the ruckmen don't just thump the ball forward, as it all becomes too predictable at times.

I disagree. a number of times today bit Clarke and Hudson went for the thump but it went Geelong's way. EVERY bloody time our players were playing from behind. EVERY time we were second to the ball and we were downright disgrace.

Anyone that gives Burton votes needs to get a tape of that game and watch him closely. He gave Ling FAR too much room. Ling was a match winner for Geelong today and Burton was crap. he got ****loads of the game but he did sweet **** all with it. One of the most footy dumb players I have ever seen.

Burton was just about BOG in the 1st quarter. Got smahed in the 2nd by Ling & rightly got moved off Ling in the 2nd half (& played mostly on Kelly I thought). At least he worked hard & got the ball, unlike some other players!

Weren't there some soft efforts there today??

Spineless and gutless were the words that leapt to mind during the game.

Dave is also right about our pathetic disposal of the ball. This raises the chicken and egg question. Is our disposal into the forward line so sh*thouse because our forwards don't lead, or don't our forwards lead because the disposal is so sh*thouse?

That would be the worst game McLeod has ever played for this club - by a long way!!! Was he injured or unwell?

Edwards finished off okay after a nightmare start, Johncock had a very average game.

Carey and Burns weren't worth a knob of goat's sh*t!!

McGregor had his worst first half ever for the club, and Perrie went back to being a C P!!

You only need 2 or 3 players not really putting in to sink a team - we had more than that today!!

Once again its not how many possesions you get its hwat you do with them and what your opponent does. Burton got ****loads of possesions but he did nothing other than stuff his stats.

He is very close to getting a label of a stat stuffer. He gets plenty of it but he doesn't hurt you with it. Its like getting punched in the arm by a 2 year old kid. The kid will punch and punch until it drops dead and you still wouldn't feel a thing.

Reckon your very biased against Burton. Easier to criticise players who get plenty of the ball (& make mistakes) than those who who go missing! We lost the game in the 3rd quarter (again), when Ling was NOT on Burton. Funny that.

Bulldust. we lost it in the second quarter when cracks were already appearing in out line up and Burton was on Ling. We were well on top of cats when Ling was off the ground. The cats were all over us in the 2nd quarter and Ling in particular killed us. The score board might not show it but anyone watching the game would realise that. Stenglein was only moved on Ling in the 4th quarter and kept him down to 1 possesion which was a goal. All the possesions Ling got (bar one) were on Burton.

Why am I biased against Burton. I am sorry but if you are expecting me to give him a pat on the back for that performance they you are with the ferries. He was deadset kick chasing today and had no idea what so ever where his opponent was. You can getaway with that sort of game in perfect posisitons but when you are playing in conditions like today I Geelong you have got to play man on man and expect it to be a very scrappy and tough game. Burton is playing like a bloody millionaire ATM so are a lot of others.

So Burton as our leading possession winner was the main reason we lost the game today... We were still in the game at half-time today. Our 3rd quarter was disgracefull, but I guess that was all Burton's fault...

Harsh call on Burton, Stiffy.

I thought he was our best player today, closely followed by Stenglein. If the other 20 had put in as much as either Burton or Stenglein we wouldn't have lost.

Macca deserves a roasting as do many others, but not Burton IMO.

I actually thought we matched the Cat's work ethic in the second quarter but they just did us with their better ball use.

The third quarter was where things changed dramatically with the Cats well on top on both areas.

Tenace ("the ace wearing number 10") is going to be a player.

Where did I say he he is solely to blame. he got most possesion but what the **** did he do with then????? Sweet **** all because he wasted 70% of them. There are a lot of players to blame. As I said I am struggling to find 5 players who deserve the votes today but I am not letting someone tell me how good Burton was because he got a lot of possesions.

Last week Stenglein had 9 disposals for the game but he was one of our better players in a side that dominated. This week Burton gets 30 touches, wastes 20 of them and we get trashed yet he should get a tap on the back for his kick chasing and ball burning today.

As I said in the other thread we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

I think its time we stopped taking our aggression out on each other and focussed it on James Fantasia and Mark Mickan. WTF are those two goons still doing at our club?

Your correct in saying that there in no way I'm agreeing with you on this one. You have chosen to single out Burton who IMO was one of our better players who actually gave 100% & some of your descriptions of him being gutless, etc are disgraceful. Do you say the same about some of our other higher profile players, who are more deserving of these descriptions? I would be happy if all our midfielders got as much of the ball as Burton & tried as hard as him, even if it meant there was a down-side of more clangers. It's easy to be less critical of some of our other players who didn't give a yelp, as they hardly got enough of the ball to remember their clangers!
