After watching Hayden Crozier suffer a sudden loss of consciousness at half time and then hooked up to an ECG monitor, the question is being asked by a lot of people was it Covid related or due to a vaccine side effect.

Personally I have suffered from a vaccine side effect after getting my second Pfizer dose back in October. It led to months of chest pain, irregular heart beat, shortness of breath, dizziness and all symptoms made much worse with the slightest physical exertion.

I went from running 5-6km twice a week at training and 8-10 kms on game days playing in the midfield, to not being able to keep up with my 60yo mother on a 100m walk and my heart racing out of control.

After 3 months rest I started training again, building my fitness back slowly and cautiously. I suffered a few setbacks with symptoms returning after particularly hard sessions. My season starts again in April, and I am faced with the prospect of returning to play while also considering my safety.

Seeing Crozier hooked up to an ECG and hearing of soccer players around the world dropping dead on the pitch has put serious fear in my mind about what could happen.

I would love to hear from others in a similar situation, or anecdotes of local athletes who have recently suffered with vaccine side effects or an incident similar to Hayden Crozier.

I know this is a touchy subject for many, so please refrain from attacking other points of view, but I do believe it is a topic that needs further open discussion.

Go see a doctor.

Hayden Crozier has had heart problems throughout his career btw…

I have seen a doctor, several in fact and unfortunately they were rather unhelpful and dismissive.

Two weeks after the onset of side effects from my second dose, which led to a visit to emergency, I tried to return to exercise by playing 9 holes of golf and only made it through 4. I went and saw my GP, explained my symptoms of an irregular and racing heartbeat, chest pain and shortness of breath. His advice was just to get back to normal life. I was literally there explaining that I couldn't do 10% of what I could two weeks earlier and he brushed me off.

After seeing a new GP and weeks pushing to investigate things further, I finally saw a cardiologist, I told him the same story about playing golf and being unable to get through the round. His follow up question to that was, "Oh, what is the course like in your town?"

Unfortunately I have been left to monitor and manage my own symptoms.

Now Ollie Wines has been taken to hospital with heart palpitations.

I hope this is the last we hear of players having heart trouble during games this season, but if it continues and we get an increasing number of players suffering from similar problems, then at what stage does the greater community start asking serious questions?

Have had exactly the same symptoms since my second jab in October on and off. Have never had any kind of heart issue previously. Booster can get f’ed.
I had no adverse reactions at all from my 2 shots of Astrazeneca, I then got Covid about a month after my 2nd shot(pretty bad for a couple of days), was due for my booster a month or so ago, I agree, I didn't and will not be getting the booster.

There is alot of side affects that is not being reported. My cousin suffered blood clots after the booster shot. He was very fortunate he didn't attempt any physical activity as the cardiologist said he could've had a heart attack at any moment. The specialist also told him he was sick of seeing young people present with similar heart issues after the vaccine.

I have two friends who have SVT symptoms post covid.
The incidences of Covid related heart issues dwarf any vaccine complications.

That's what they want you to believe.
My cousin has not contracted covid 19.

Why? Because I've presented you with an eye witness statement. So it's classed as a conspiracy? Pathetic
No, because you stated "That's what they want you to believe"

If you want to state that there is a conspiracy about the vaccine, there is a specific board for that chatter.

I never said anything about the vax being a conspiracy. Look up the known side affects that pfizer tried to supress for 75 plus years that was forced to release by the supreme court. This is a fact! But hey believe what you want to believe.

The 75 year timeframe is an estimate of the standard redaction process for 300k pages.
Again, if you want to use conspiratorial language ("trying to suppress") or repeat CT talking points, there is an appropriate board on this site for it.

If anyone wants to read how misinformation about vaccine side effects gets twisted by anti-vax sites:

Chance of catching covid - less than 100%, probably closer to 20%. Chance of being forced to take the vaccine 95-100%.

When you compare these, the incidence of heart issues in connection with covid would have to be at least 5 times greater than the vaccine. Have you given any thought to that?

Yes. Here's some data (that, going by your posts elsewhere on Covid, you will choose to ignore)

Before COVID-19 the incidence of myocarditis was between one and 10 cases per 100,000 people per year. Rates are highest in males between 18 and 30 years old. Interestingly, most cases of myocarditis in the highest risk group are in otherwise healthy and active people.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the risk of myocarditis after infection with COVID-19 is much higher, at 146 cases per 100,000.

Based on a study out of Israel, the risk of post-vaccine myocarditis is 2.13 cases per 100,000 vaccinated, which is within the range usually seen in the general population. This study is consistent with others in the United States and Israel which put the overall incidence of post-vaccine myocarditis between 0.3 and five cases per 100,000 people.

Again. My cousin who is a fit 40 year old male has not contracted covid and he got blood clots that needed hospitalization after the third booster of the Pfizer vaccine. Not sure why your trying to post articles that say its a rare occurrence. Clearly this is not the case and was confirmed by the heart specialist he saw. My cousin was pro vaccine and has completely changed his tone based on his experience and the specialists statement really opened his eyes.

The stat I would like to see is how many unvaccinated people have had myocarditis/heart issues post Covid as compared to how many vaccinated have had myocarditis/heart issues post Covid.

This provides some information:

Before the emergence of COVID-19, the estimated global incidence of acute myocarditis was 1–10 cases per 100,000 people per year1 (Table 1). Similarly, the overall incidence of COVID-19 mRNA-vaccine-related myocarditis seems to be low, estimated as 0.3–5.0 cases per 100,000 vaccinated people in case-series studies from the USA and Israel

Recovery rates are a little different too:
In myocarditis unrelated to COVID-19 or COVID-19 vaccination, >80% of patients will spontaneously recover, although those hospitalized for myocarditis have an approximately 4–5% risk of death or heart transplantation in the first year after diagnosis6. In COVID-19 mRNA-vaccine-associated myocarditis, >90% of patients will functionally completely recover, usually after a chest pain syndrome (see Supplementary information). To date, only eight deaths owing to COVID-19 mRNA-vaccine-associated myocarditis have been reported (>99% survival) (see Supplementary information).

The rates due to Covid infection appear far greater:

By contrast, the incidence of COVID-19-associated cardiac injury or myocarditis is estimated to be 100 times higher (1,000–1,400 per 100,000 people with COVID-19) than that of COVID-19 mRNA-vaccine-related myocarditis7. Moreover, in contrast to the overall mild presentation and good outcome of vaccine-associated myocarditis, COVID-19 is associated with a major risk of cardiovascular complication

That's what they want you to believe.

No, that's the actual truth.

Viral myocarditis is a real thing. Google it:

HEART inflammation triggered by some covid-19 vaccines has been a concern, especially in younger people, but a preliminary study suggests that in those most affected, it is six times more likely to occur after a coronavirus infection than after vaccination.

In the past few months, some cases of this condition, known as myocarditis, have been recorded following the use of the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines. This has prompted concern particularly in the US and Israel, as these two countries have led the way in vaccinating younger people.

The reaction happens most often in men and boys aged under 30 after their second dose, and is usually seen within 10 days, says Alma Iacob at Imperial College London. But many health bodies around the world say the benefits of vaccination still outweigh the risks for most people.

Now a study in the US has analysed how often myocarditis occurs following infection with the coronavirus. Researchers analysed the records of healthcare organisations that cover a fifth of the US population. They found that, during the first 12 months of the pandemic, males aged 12 to 17 were most likely to develop myocarditis within three months of catching covid-19, at a rate of about 450 cases per million infections.

This compares with 67 cases of myocarditis per million males of the same age following their second dose of a Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccine, according to figures from the US Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Researchers added together cases after first and second doses to reach a total rate of 77 cases per million in this male age group triggered by vaccination, a sixth that seen after infection

It's still rare, but you're 6 times more likely to develop heart problems simply as a consequence of getting COVID than you are getting vaccinated.

Lol. Ok preliminary. How do they come up with those stats? Most people are double vaccinated if you believe the figures. How can they claim that after you catch covid there is no link with being vaccinated that is causing the heart and blood clot issues when even Pfizer have realeased the known side affects which includes Myocarditis?
