+ picking up the NAB rising star favourite at pick 6 in the draft
+ picking up an AFL ready made tall forward in the rookie draft
+ developing players stepping up to the next level, such as Grundy, WHE, JT, JDG, Langdon, Maynard, Cox, Aish, Sier
+ continued strong output from mature players like Pendles, Sidebottom, Adams, Treloar

Those developing players stepping up to the next level has definitely been the catalyst to our improvement.

Grundy is equal with Gawn as the best ruck in the comp. No doubt about it. Both have their strengths and weaknesses though.

WHE probably the most accurate set shot for goal in the comp. Next to Josh caddy. Underrated player.

JT has gone from a banned player with a questionable future to someone who contributes every week and pops up for a sneaky goal or 4 occasionally.

JDG is very close to being elite. His running power is amazing. When he's at full speed he's lightning quick.

Combine that with the Stephenson rotation we had going on in the forward line between JDG/Stevo and both of them at top speed are seriously damaging over time to the opposition defenders.
Stephenson has been so important playing a great first year and him breaking some games open has been vital.

Cox is integral to our structure.

Defence held up well at full strength. Maynard good. Scharenberg and Dunn very good before injuries. :(

A bright future ahead if we can get these players on the park more often.

How we lost last night must been the way we lost the GF's when the Collywobbles where Evented

For me it just felt like from the third quarter I knew we weren't gonna win. Just felt like it was set up to be a heartbreaking loss when Moore went down. Seen it happen too many times.

And in his interview at the airport he looks totally jack of it and not like someone wanting to stay.

Basically said what we’re doing is not working......no shit Collingwood.

Send him OS this week.......enough is enough.

Send him OS this week.......enough is enough.

Send him to the German doctor that Reid went to and then In the pre season get him to the high altitude training that swanny went to.

They must do whatever they can to get this kid right because he has rare potential but I think he might actually need some good months off. His body might be sick of constantly repairing itself.

I said at Half Time when I found out Moore done a Hammy AGAIN we had no chance of winning

Brayden Sier copped a heavily corked left quad in the third term and despite trying to get it moving on the stationary bike he was unable to return to the field and will be assessed during the week. I reckon Sidey rushed his long kick at goal with seconds to go. Appeared like he could have run to 50 to have a proper shot. Did the same thing in the first quarter too. I bet he wishes he could have that shot again.

I agree that Cox has been great for our structure this year, but after watching last nights game I think it is the two talls in our forward line that is integral to our structure. When Cox was out injured against WCE we fell apart with only one tall. We looked good with the two talls until Moore was injured and Miochek had to go back. Our structure fell down with the sole tall.

He had the game in his hands in that moment and blew it, had options running into 50 as well.

Did sure look like it. Mihocheck went back and Structure went to Hell

My Dad said on News said Swans last goal was Touched
unless it was touched off the boot it wasnt touched, the ball had well passed the line before Phillips got to it. Costly mistake not having someone on the goal line.
