I am a big fan of Murray McHenry. Makes great wines, Steve's is a quality establishment and he was extremely influential in getting West Coast off the ground.

Wasn't pre season it was Board meeting where Woosha was asked to explain our low place on the ladder after Round 5.
Woosha said our squad will be in premiership contention in three years and C Henry is judging Woosha on those comments !
Well, he's not going to be sacked at the end of the year on that basis.

If he gets sacked, it will be because we haven't won enough games.

He's going to get sacked coz he is on $1 million a year, and they can get Laidley for $600k.
Simple as that.
Great player, ok coach, good bloke but he's still getting $400k overs a year, just quietly.

Like I said, if he gets sacked, it'll be because we haven't won enough games.

If we were winning games, the money wouldn't be an issue.

if he is sacked which I believe is highly unlikely it will be because of his inability to develope his young players, rebuild his side around his best players at the expense of winning games, and modernise his game plan.

The wins will not be there because of the poor plan, poor structures and because our young players have not developed.

Either way I think it will be highly unlikely they will sack John, but boy oh boy they should and sooner rather than later.

Are people just seeing it as a coincidence or something more, that both coaches touted for our senior job back when Woosha got it are now struggling at the bottom end of the ladder after experiencing the same scenario's, throughout their coaching career with their teams.

It was a two-horse race between Woosha and Neil Craig, and now the over reliance of failing senior players, or players that are well past it are coming to the demise of both sides. After both sides hit their peak around 05-06, they still look to the same players to lead the side in 2010.

Money isn't an issue at all, we have tonnes of it. Worsfold will be sacked due to lack of wins, three years out of finals and 1 disappointing finals campagin in 2007, lack of development in some players, poor team selection. The 2006 flag is a distant memory now and won't save him from being sacked a year early on his deal. Not only does Worsfold need to go, almost the entire coaching staff should go too. Robert Wiley should be given a SOS to come back for starters.

Woosha and his defendants are citing that we are missing key players, but lets get real for a moment, Masten and Shuey would certainly not make our current team anymore competitive right now, and Kerr certainly has not been the player he once was, you could argue that he would only add to our plodding midfield.

No team is always at full strength and you need to be able to rely on structures to some degree, but guess what we don't have any structures and in the past have relied on our champion midfielders.

I'm willing to take as much pain this year (inc losing to Tigers) as neccesary if it causes a change at the top.

Well, I personally think that missing Glass and Kerr makes a bit of a difference to the team, but that's just me apparently.

As for McHenry, don't know what he adds by saying that to the media.

They are all in our top 5 midfielders still though, and balance that out with the fact it would increase the pressure on Embley, Selwood, Nicoski etc.. to keep there spots in the midfield if Kerr, Shuey and Masten were fit and available. Glass is also our best defender (and Captain) by a country mile, even unfit.

Its certainly a factor.

If it was so fascinating why would it be a chore?

If you had used your brain you could have avoided a fair bit of angst.
I used the word fascinating sarcastically.

I thought that was obvious.

If someone claims someone else has been quoted "out of context", is it not fair to ask for clarification? Or should all just accept that grossly overused phrase without question?

"Oh, he was taken out of context! That explains everything."

It's bullshit.

No you.

I was well aware you were being sarcastic, I was simply poking fun at it.
Well, that would be equally ridiculous, not to mention pointless.

If you were in fact aiming for some semantic double-sarcasm with a backflip and a pyke, it only indicates that you've got nothing more relevant to add. Stop waffling at the margins. Shit or get off the pot.

Well, that would be equally ridiculous.

Bottom-line: don't try to be a smartarse when you don't have the horsepower.
Ahhhhhhhh so being sarcastic about your weak use of sarcasm is somehow rolling myself?

The irony of of you pointing out it was sarcasm is simply to much for me to deal with.

Also why do you add such petty throw away lines like the above, some schoolyard shit to be sure.

EDIT: you have done it again, FFS.

This is the first public announcement I've heard from inside the Eagles that the Board are turning the heat up on Woosh.

Lets get the facts straight boys, McHenry is a commissioner on the WAFC, he is not an Eagles director.

Murray McHenry is well-regarded within WA Footy circles, he was a long-time Eagles director and served as Chair for two season.
