''I have no doubt they will edge up to the top eight. Just outside the eight. I think that will be a satisfactory finish this year,'' he told The Age last night.
McHenry wouldn't detail what an unsatisfactory finish would be, but the possibility of a third straight bottom-six placing could spark a major review and possible termination of Worsfold's contract despite it still having a year to run.
''Then the coaching staff and management and board have got to make some other assessments,'' he said.
''That assessment will give good reasons for that. If they are not satisfied with the reasons and they believe a change is needed in the coaching staff, there is no doubt that will come into their mix.''

McHenry said the Eagles could find themselves in a similar situation to Essendon when eventually handling Worsfold's departure.
''It is a performance-based industry,'' he said.
''From the Eagles' point of view, John in effect is a legend of the football club and it would be a very difficult thing when they have someone like that.
''We saw what happened with Kevin Sheedy. When someone has been there that long, they become part of the furniture. When it comes time to go, you can have a problem.''
This is the first public announcement I've heard from inside the Eagles that the Board are turning the heat up on Woosh.

Personally, I would be all for a review at the end of the year similar to what Geelong did in 2006. I still think Woosha is the man for the senior position though. He's a proven premiership coach. This is opposed to Dean Laidley, who could never get his side competitive in finals over his 7-8 years at the helm.

The club went through a very traumatic time during 2007-2008 and it was always to be expected that our perfomances would end up suffering on the field. I don't believe any coach could have avoided that.
