You are passionate about your team but some of your calls are laughable.

I agree Black is a better player than Lockyer but Fremantle will have to settle for a second rate deal because he is uncontracted.

Like I said with St Kilda, a player will go to a club just not on the deal, but the club he is going to.

Fremantle will struggle to attract a quality player because their club is a shambles. No coach and a board that is easily the worst in the AFL.

I would take my source, James Walker (cousin) as opposed to yours.

Pies have just as much chance of getting first pick as freo do.
And if black is uncontracted n in the draft whoever gets the first pick will snare him.
You have to deal or you wont get him

The rule to which you refrs comes in NEXT year - so this years pre season draft provides Freo with the first pick.

I am knackered and will address a few other fallacies that seem to have once again sprung up tomorrow - I do, however, find it amusing that any Collingwood supporter would throw any stones re: recruiting - as perusing some of your past trading and drafting (did someone say ricky olerenshaw for the #12 pick ... who was Adam Ramanaskuas?) is downright deploreable.

Yes a dud deal but something very good came out of it. We swapped Ricky O for a draft pick that netted Ryan "abba" Lonie.

For a start the ballot system does not start till the end of the 2002 season.The Dockers do hold the upper hand.Heath Black WILL play for the Dockers next year.He will be given the Vice Captaincy.of a club on the rise and I refer to the Dockers.
Brodie Holland is a player who will only give when the team he is playing for is on a roll and winning.He will have an ordinary season next year.Has the concentration span of a child in a lolly shop.
James Clement shows gilimpes at times but will dissappoint the Mudlarks supporters next year.Read Brody Holland.

What about the deal I proposed Sabre......Lange, S Motlop and our 3rd round pick (39...the same one you got mcphee with last year) for Black?

Otherwise, let me know what you want from the roos

I must be reading things. I thought you said St Kilda would be prepared to offer our no 5 draft pick AND Aussie Jones for Heath Black.

If one things for certain, our first two draft picks are NOT tradeable under any circumstance. The club have made that certain.

Don't get me wrong, Heath Black has the potential to be a great player. He's just not there yet and I hardly think teams would be willing to trade a top 5 draft pick for him. Selections 2 and 5 are saved for Hodge, Ball, Judd, Power, etc.

Good luck finding a trade for him. I think Collingwood's your best bet. Of course lets face it, doesn't every single uncontracted player get linked to Collingwood. :D

Or 5th pick for Black

I still think he will stay at the dockers, either by force or choice

Hilly, I have offered Barnaby French, Jared Poulton and Nathan Steinberner to Freo for Heath Black, and none of the Freo types have bothered to answer me, so I'm guessing we are just pissing into the wind mate

Heath Black goes to Collingwood

Tarkyn Lockyer + 2nd round draft pick go to West Coast

Wirrapunda goes to North Melbourne

S Motlop, pick 23 Lange and young WA Christian Woodley go to Fremantle.


I think Freo are getting a bit ripped off there, so maybe change pick 23 for a higher one picked up through other trading?

I may get castrated for this by my fellow supporters, but we have a deal!

Freo would benefit from having a WA player and with Heath Black out of contract the deal is not "over-market", but it is not ripping Freo off.

I think Freo and Collingwood traded well last year. My only concern was that they may have underestimated Clement's worth (late 30's draft pick).

Pies supporters, if Lockyer stays with us, I'll be happy. He's a great little player!

But here's a hypothetical: you must delist one of the following footballers; 1. Nick Davis, 2. Alan Didak, 3. Tarkyn Lockyer.

The answer is simple, as the first two have a silky natural talent/quality that is intangible, but makes them superior to Lockyer.

Heath Black is in the same silky class as Boofa and Didak. That's why we want him!!!

OK, for the millionth time. This has been confirmed to me by Heath's (step) brother and his Uncle. He is coming to Collingwood for Betheras and pick 27 (second round). Noel Judkins rang Heath's family on Friday night and told them Fremantle and Collingwood have agreed to the deal. It's a FACT.

Black is a good player but not in the top shelf of midfielder 's going around.Collingwood will probably pick him up but I reckon freo would be stupid to give him away for Betheras and a second round pick. I would want a first round pick and a reasonable player..not Betheras who is just a hack...

Ahh but my cousin twice removed, best friend's mother's neighbour, whose daughter once went out with Heath Blakc's best mate swears that Heath Black is going to the Tigers, for Darren Gaspar! ;)

Seriously, if you genuinely think that Heath Black, a top 10 possession winner in the AFL this year, with speed and skill to burn is only worth that - than both Heath's step brother, your uncle and you need to start sharing the drugs you are clearly on!

Figkam, you at least have some idea of Heath's value - that is of course if he chooses to leave anyway ... shall be interestting methinks!
