What about in the next 10 years though? Shaw is turning 31 this year meanwhile Adams is still 22, and one of our best mids.
Definitely a win-win.

Win win, Collingwood get a long term quality midfielder while GWS get probably the leagues best back flanker while they are in a premiership window.
It's win/win in that Pies wanted to move Shaw, Adams wanted out of GWS, and they both got a good return.
Long-term Pies will do better, because Adams will be good long after Shaw is done, but both made good on a tricky situation.

Yeah I suppose it is. Just amazed at how well Shaw has slotted into the GWS lineup.
Win/win. Shaw obviously the much better player right now. But Adams should play good footy for another 6-8 years as a real leader of the club after Shaw is done.
Importantly, it's turned out that switching clubs was absolutely the right move for Shaw, and glad that we were able to get a premiership player and favourite son to the club of his choice, on fair terms, and that he's happy.

The players in front of him as midfielders at the moment are Coniglio Sheil Whitfield Ward Scully Devon Smith Josh Kelly Griffin with Hopper and Steele being his equal. Thats 10 off the top of my head . Hopper will end being better than himHow do you know Adams would not get a Game at GWS
