Got to look forward, heater does not do that.
But really who does he replace and for how long for.
We don't need him now, wish him all the best, but that's it

This business about Ablett going back to Geelong has got me thinking about our Heater, and a possible return to Collingwood. I believe his contract at GWS ends at the end of next season. He will be 33 in 2019. He loves the Pies and might just consider a return if the coach has changed. Would you have him back?
33?

No.

I don't think he will get any better and we may be a little disappointed, his best days at Collingwood are behind him.

Is that the Doc from Back to the Future in the orange vest?

He used to be a runner for St Kilda... I feel like there was one game where he gave away multiple goals for being in the way. Amusing.

Where does he fit in this guy's recruitment policy?
Premiership teams are built on a solid foundation. I believe these players are the most likely to form our next premiership foundation:

Fasolo: 25 years
De Goey: 21
Grundy: 23
Elliott: 25
Treloar: 24
Langdon: 23
Scharenberg: 21
Adams: 23
Aish: 21
Brown: 19
Crisp: 23
Daicos: 18
Broomhead: 23
Moore: 21
Hoskin-Elliot: 23
McLarty: 19
Maynard: 20
Howe: 27

The oldest guy on this list is Howe at 27. The list as a whole hits it's peak in 2-3 years. The foundations have been created, we just need the courage now to see this through. IMO, we must aim for 2020 onwards as our window and as such, all selection and recruitment decisions must be based on that. No more mature recruits until we are about to hit our peak. Go to the draft Collingwood and put anyone not on this list on the trade table. A premiership awaits.

A hair brained idea if ever I saw it. He is an old man now. He has lost yards of pace and has no place with us anymore. Look to the future.

Would be great to have Shaw running round with all the other great names. Moore Brown Daicos. Would go well with the redhead Richards picked up in the draft and a trade for Weideman.

On another note what about Sharrod Wellingham? Younger than Shaw. Out of contract this year and a better kick.

No point being a better kick if you can't get the footy
