Pendles said on his podcast the other day that they went into that finals series tired. Seems like some poor man management by us.

Thats a very detailed forensic analysis.

We trailed by just 7 points at 3/4 time in the GF against a team we coudlnt beat during the year. Thats not a sign of tiredness. Its a sign that we were playing against a team we couldnt beat during the year.

Everything needed to go right to win on the day and it didnt. Mistakes were arguably made at the selection table and on game day but thats got nothing to do with general tiredness, as you are implying they were overtrained. Thats something that I havent heard claimed before so I assume you are making it up.

Is there a link to this interview? If he hasn't had a good think about the reasons for his departure and his contribution to it he's a turkey.

The raft of big swinging dicks who left the pies because they didn't want to be told by Bucks what to do had runaway egos. Thomas pointing at the coaches box stands out as an ultimate flog act. Glad to see them all put out in their clapped out clubs.

How is it poor? We rested players in the last round and got smashed.. Playing injured players cost us.

The number one thing that cost us is, having chosen to risk Reid (probably a risk worth taking), not having an adequate sub. Select Goldsack ( the ultimate Mr Fixit) instead of Fasolo (a first year player forward pocket) and then the option would have been there to bench Reid at any time, especially after Podsiadly went down. Related to that was the refusal to move Tarrant onto Hawkins. Would it have made a difference? Maybe not but the club didnt make the correct positional choices on selection night or on game day. Geelong was the better side on the day and during the year, no matter which way you cut it. We might have had a better record than Geelong (slightly) , but we couldnt beat them, If you cant beat one team your'e not the best team.

The bolded part is exactly how it went down. Prima donnas after one Premiership. Only at Collingwood.

I would love for the DuckToaster to do a gif of Thomas pointing at Bucks. I think the game was against the Tigers after he kicks two in a row. FLOG!

The year we lost to Geelong we were our own worst enemy after winning in 2010 can someone tell us why we had to be ready for the pre season cup no building into the next season. We were poorly managed and poorly prepared in 2011,we hardly ever rested players during the year even after we knew we would be top 2 long before the season ended. All this talk about us being found out that year proved correct but what some people will not acknowledge we did not have be.
Our best in 2011 was good enough to beat every body including Geelong but like other times we did not give ourselves the best chance possible.

We were never a chance after the Lions game the season went 6 weeks too long for us go back and watch the last qtr vLions we stopped to a walk and we were gone.

This article gives a good idea of the club and Shaw's feelings towards each other in 2013.

"Obviously the conversations I’ve had with `Bucks’ in the (heat of the) moment on the ground is similar to what I said about `Maxy’ - it’s all for the benefit of the team. Sometimes I get worked up if things aren’t going well and I show it because I’m passionate about the club and passionate about winning.

"It’s something I’ve tried to work on controlling for the past 10 years but it hasn’t worked at all. So I don’t think it’s going to be changing any time soon."

He had to go it was either him or Buckley simple as that,Some may not like Buckley but for the most part the players play for him even when we were losing there was always effort,I really only recall that Richmond match where we run up the flag.
'So although we have not been good enough in recent years we have still tried.
I do not think Swan liked Buckley but he did try his best and so did Beams for 1 season and then he had had enough and got off the bus his words not mine.

So you know Heater and Bucks Personally?
No, do you? Don't you make posts when you don't know the players personally?

Can only make a judgement by what he said and how he said it.

That's what I took from it, he's a donkey but an honest one.

Also said he promised to buy the Giants women's team (which he volunteers as an assistant coach for) all dinner if they beat the Pies because he hates Collingwood.
You seriously need to learn to accurately quote when you stoop to trying to tarnish a player based on your own interpretation of something you know nothing about..
He clearly said "I don't hate Collingwood" at the beginning of the sentence which you are inaccurately paraphrasing.
The total bullshit which gets posted on these boards as "truth" or "fact" sometimes based on nothing more than a personal feeling astounds me.
How hard is it to listen and comprehend?

The actual interview.....
