This business about Ablett going back to Geelong has got me thinking about our Heater, and a possible return to Collingwood. I believe his contract at GWS ends at the end of next season. He will be 33 in 2019. He loves the Pies and might just consider a return if the coach has changed. Would you have him back?

If I was Geelong I wouldn't be that interested in Ablett and I am even less interested in Heater. Look forward, don't look back.

Don't mind it on a sentimental level. But I don't think he has much left, 2018 could be his last.

P.s. in all seriousness, do you reckon we might have recruited Chris Mayne as a decoy to pull off this Shaw/ Lyon deal?

It's a well known fact Ross loves Maynes home made chicken curry? And, although this comes from an unsubstanciated source... i did hear (but can't reveal my source) that someone very close to heath and the shaw family told me... That Heath likes Chicken Curry.

I know, it's exciting isn't it!

I loved Heater as a player but his departure is significantly different to Ablett's at Geelong. FWIW if I was a Geelong I would be saying no to Ablett.

Heater will be 33 next November. I watch a fair bit of GWS games and he has been poor on a few occasions. A look at his stats this year compared to last year shows he has played the same amount of games as last year (24):
127 less kicks
38 less marks
25 less tackles
60 less rebound 50's
4 less inside 50's
10 less contested marks
19 less contested possessions
19 less 1%'s
40 more handballs

Unfortunately at his age he is one poor season from retirement. Its a no from me
