I am very impressed by the kid! Story was that he was as quick as his brother but with better skills and more courage and he showed just that tonight! i must admit i was very skeptical, but now i am converted long live heath shaw!

i think he has lived in the shadow of Brayden for awhile now because everyone expected brayden to be teh next big thing at collingwood, but so far brayden 0: heath 1! hopefully brayden will come good to, hopefully he will take his cousin as an example and stop stuffing around and get serious with his footy!

I didn't think he was that good last night. Heath's kicking was atrocious last night, but it could have all been first game nerves.
Indeeed, he got it...but didnt use it at all, no question. Though that will come in time. I watched hiom pretty closely all night and he got very down on himself when making a mistake in disposal. Which means he had his head down most of the night. Still, at least he can get it, disposal can be worked on.

Thats collingwoods why.
get it, turn it over.
Lockyer, Licuria, Holland, Egan, Maxwell, Woewodin, Iacobucci, Johnson, O'Bree, R. Shaw, C, Cloke, T, Cloke, J, Cloke & Walker.
Now we can add H. Shaw to the mix.
thats 11 players from last nights game that turn the ball over too much.
Our kicking has gone downhill since 03, yet no one has been fired over it.

Rubbish - if you can't kick well by the time you're drafted, then your best hope is to become perhaps adequate.

Typical Collingwood problem - a whole heap of honest triers who can find the ball but lack skill. Then we keep them all in the hope they improve until suddenly we have a team full of blokes who can't be trusted with the ball. The sooner our dud football department realise that this is unacceptable the better off we will be.

Thats rubbish, remember first game, first time subjected to this immense pressure. St. Kilda pressure was big last night, they out tackled us by stacks. Play him for the rest of the year, let him get used to the pressure of AFL footy, which is like nothin he has played in before. If he still cant use it by the end of the year, then theres an issue. Until then, he gets a chance. Hell, half our list has had a million chances for fking 6 yrs

Did anyone notice the funny way he was running in the second half? Special comments thought he might be injured/cramping, and said he sure hoped so!

What are you on about? Woewodin is a gun kick and i saw him miss one target all night.

Quite impressed with the way he got the ball, but like most collingwood players cant hit a target, I think it might have been first game jiotters because he isnt that bad of a kick in the vfl.

His pace is better than i thought n i think we may have a player on our hands

His kicking will improve! Just the burden of his name is enough to worry even the most strong willed players! So does that mean we should drop bucks and tarks, there kicking was pretty poor last night as well!

heath may not end up being the best kick in our team but i think he will make it into the top 10, which means he deserves a spot in the team

yes drop "tarks" he has been ******** since his return from injury and was woeful last night. I think he must be judged on his present performances which have been poor not on those before his injury.

i wasnt overly impressed with Heath last night....got it a bit but turned it over and had his kicks smothered too often

will improve though, agree with the first game jitters call, plus getting use to the pace of AFL, he wasnt taking the first option on every occasion

good to see him get a game though, look forward to his future at the club

Give him time to adjust.... when he turned it over he seemed to be always running at full pace... he will soon work out the pace of the game and learn to steady himself.. overall a promising first game.

It was a good first game.
Iacobucci has good skills usually, pressure and inexperience of the temple at the AFL level can make you look bad.
