Pretty sure they don't play cricket at gunbower, could they play the grand final then on a Sunday after the gunbower cup

Best to listen to the people running the Comp! From what I've read they are a League that has clear goal posts set on how things will pan out. If restrictions are eased in the lead into the Grand Final they will play if it's after that date it's over.
